I suspect this has to do with macs being white and thus not very visible to you snowbound northerners. Perhaps when you actually see one through the daily whiteout of life up there you mistake it for a baby seal and end up clubbing it to death...who knows.

As to Macs, I once wanted to get one, but seriously, PCs are better workhorses, not to mention once virii start flooding the mac market it'll probably be a clean sweep, seeing as PCs have the edge in antivirus technology, seeing as they've been fighting them longer. Macs are great for artsy people like graphic designers, but gimme a pc any day. Not to mention compatibility.....Macs have half the compatibility to other products like printers etc that PCs do. And I should know, lol.

To summarize, although I'm quite angry at a certain horrific update to IE on my computer, I still prefer a PC. I don't hate Macs at all, in fact I quite like them, but I prefer a PC.

The Mac has roughly 3% of the desktop market - same as linux; there's no hope for them regardless of how many bad commercials Steve Jobs puts out.

And you're absolutely correct. Since the Mac now has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, it's essentially a PC with restrictive firmware.
