So you're a papist then. Sure, hammer some more nails into your coffin by "praying" to Mary. One day you'll find out you should have been praying to Jesus. Perhaps it will be before it's too late and you're standing in front of Him in final judgment.

I just love the way you condescend to Jose by believing that he can't defend himself because he is of peasant stock from a country that isn't America.

      You crypto-racists sicken me!

Oh by no means was I defending, he's still foreign unamerican scum, but that doesn't mean we have to deter him from seeing the light.

Whoops again, it's just a bad habit of mine that was flogged into me since childhood. I wish I had good Christian parents to flog me rather than my thankfully dead Catholic ones

Fortunately I'm very understanding in this regard. Not only am I a former papist, but a former NUN! I know how difficult it is to break those horrible habits (in both regards), but with Jesus anything is possible!

            Hosay,
When you say you were born into a Christian family, you really mean Catholic, right? Do you think that saves your brown skin?

Don't you know what the Bible says about sin and Salvation (TM)?

(all quotes from the AV1611 King James Bible)

Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

So you see, you can't be born a Christian, you have to be Born Again (TM)!

            Here's a few more:

            Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

1st John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1st John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1st John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Don't kid yourself, Hosay! You are a sinner! Unless you have come here for True Salvation (TM), you are lost, lost , lost! And you will burn in a lake of fire!

            In Christ,
            Warren

I was born into a Christian family. Christian as in King James bible. Not Mary.

Also, plase explain to me what my skin color has anything to do with my beliefs in Him. I find it irrelevant.

Please don't misunderstand me, Hosay, and also please don't try to "trip me up" by changing the subject. I have a deep affection for all the brown-skinned peoples and their fast food favorites, too! I'll have you know some of the finest people I know are my gardeners and housekeepers!

So you say your parents were Christians? You know they believed the AV1611 King James Bible? If that's true, then it's possible they were unknowingly True Christians™, which prospect is quite exciting.

But what does their alleged relationship with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ© have to do with you?

Do you acknowledge you are a sinner? Do you know that no human relationship can help you escape Hell? Do you know what it takes to be Saved™?

what an incredibly condescending post. so the only contribution that people of color have made is ethnic food and servitude? what a small minded view of the world.

so ethnicity is "curable". what a crock. there is nothing wrong with being a person of color. ignorance is very unbecoming. how is it you are able to judge a person because of something as superficial as the tone of their skin. that makes absolutely no sense at all. there is nothing telling in the hue of a persons skin. you cannot know a person by just looking at them.

"They also serve who only stand and wait." Who are you to be putting down coloreds for their place in our society? Do YOU want to trim my hedges or clean my toilet? Probably not, if you are white like me. But many of my brown friends have found a real purpose in this life as garbage collectors, laborers (day and otherwise), taco stand vendors, bus drivers, and the like.

There is no indignity in work. If they were not here to do these things, when would I have time to walk in the park with my family? And who would tend the park? If they were not here to do these things, our lives would be cluttered with drudgery instead of the wonderful life that America makes possible for us.

So don't be calling me condescending when you don't even know the purpose of work and folks' stations in life.

just so i understand let me try to clarify. from your reply i gather that you are uniquely qualified to put people into "their station" based on what!? based on ethnicity, the color of their skin, there country of origin? that seems so superficial to me. i am not sure why you feel that you can determine what others should or should not do. you don't seem like the type of person we would want to have that type of power. it seems to me that you would be someone we (as a society) would rather have you be seen and not heard. it doesn't sound like you should be in any position of authority with your backwoods views. i do find some solace in that your views are very much on the wain in this country.
