    Pleasant Surprise at the motel

Was recently traveling (something I do not do very often these days) and had to stay overnight at a motel.

Upon getting sited in the room, I noted the Gideon Bible, and was surprised to see it was a King James.

But as it turns out, an 'updated' version of the Blessed 1611.

I am of 2 minds about this, tampering with the Word is certainly outrageous, but on the other hand, there being so few opportunities for exposure to any religious materials for the unSaved masses, I have to admit my heart was gladdened to see it there, in any form.
Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.

I note some motels offer the option of deBibled rooms. I was not offered that (and I would have left had the clerk mentioned it) and it is certainly a sad tribute to the times we live in that that kind of thing can happen.

I am unaware of any organized Catholic group putting their foul unBiblical 'Bible' in motel rooms, and I certainly would have been outraged to have encountered one!!

You say untempered but you belive in hell.
I've read real translations of the greek documents, and hell is a metaphor for eternal death. Hades means death not hell. God would not allow his children to suffer for all of eternity under his own hands.

as far as I can see, he said "tampered" NOT "tempered"

Garbage, if it's in KJV1611 it's the inerrant truth! And why should anyone believe your translation of anything? (See above) you can't even copy things!

Well I can see your all not going to listen to anything I say so goodbye. Have a nice day, and I hope you all get your dreams of hatred and evil fulfilled.

Our dreams of Salvation will be fulfilled while the repellent demons in Hell are sodomizing you with red hot pokers.

So, Mr. Berko-witz, why do you suppose in the book of Revelation it is clearly stated that God will resurrect sinners to eternal life so He may cast them into a vast lake of fire?

That's not the word "hell", it is not the word "Hades", it is the description of a vast, ever-burning lake of fire.

              Please explain.

Then, explain why it is that you think God allows us to use an inaccurate Bible and misunderstand Him, since that's what you're implying. Do you mean to tell us that you believe God wants His children to be confused and not comprehend His meaning, so that He may condemn them? Or do you think that He is simply too ineffectual to correct a few billion Bibles, He who made the entire Universe in 6 days?
