    Re: The Trinity..?

The same reason you call scribbles and dots a written language or the hawking of loogies a word. There is a lonely goat somewhere with your name on it, seek it and do what thou wilt. It's what Mohammed would have done.

Amen Brother Larry, how can we forget how the foolish Ishmael was cleverly tricked out of his birthright? There's a synonym I'm thinking of for "cleverly tricked". It's not popping up in my head at the moment.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

        Re: The Trinity..?

While my beliefs are firmly rooted in the Word of Jesus Christ, I have always been a bit wary of John.

As we all know, it is the youngest Gospel of the Bible. It is the first to introduce the idea of an eternal Jesus in John 1 and the trinity in John 10.
I have always relied more heavily on the synoptics, i.e.

        Matthew 24:36

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

        Mark 13:32

But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Though it would seem those verses would contradict against the aforementioned

        John 1:30
I and my Father are one.

I will err on the side of the canonical John over the much older Mark or Matthew. I believe, I have shown Truepath to be the idiot here!

Canonical is as canonical does, Mr. Coleridge, which is to say I'm deeply troubled by your apparent assertion that some scripture is better than other scripture. Only a God-hating false Christian could think such a thing.

Regardless, I want to put this whole matter of the Trinity to rest by quoting from God Himself, who said in I John 5:7: "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

Hang on a minute, that verse is in dispute is it not? The RSV doesn't even have it I think.

God's™ Word does not need to be revised. It is an eternal truth for the ages.

So the KJV 1611 is your scripture?

Let me take a wild guess, it was written in.... 1611?

My friend, scripture is written when it is given to the prophet Allah has chosen. The Gospel given to Jesus (pbuh) has been twisted so much and had these "letters" from "Paul" (who is *NOT* a prophet) to it and what you have, written 1600 years AFTER Jesus'(pbuh) time, this is *NOT* scripture.

Thsi is why Allah has sent The Greatest Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and the Noble Qu'ran to correct you people and save you from hellfire. What a loving God we serve!
