Is it sinful to be Vegetarian?

I am a vegetarian christian, wondering if it is OK to be vegetarian. I dont think it is, as I see no justification in murdering god's animals to eat them, when there are plenty of other sources of food. I just wanted to know what you all think.

Wonder no more, The Lord is about to speak
I see no justification in murdering god's animals to eat them,
Acts 10:9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

OK? The Lord commands we eat meat. Get yourself down to some restaurant and order yourself a big juicy steak.

      You are obviously weak...

This has to be the stupidest statement I have ever seen on this Godly Forum™.

There are numerous examples in the KJV1611 Bible.

        Leviticus

1:1 And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

        1:2
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.

        1:3
If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.

        1:4
And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

        1:5
And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

1:6 And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his pieces.

        1:7
And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:

        1:8
And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:

        1:9
But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

        Leviticus 26:27-29

        27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

Interesting, "messiah", in another thread you were saying you were homersexual. Do you play video games by any chance?

I (fourth time that "I" is capitalized, but the words "God" and "Christian" are not) just wanted to know what you all think (we think you are a God-mocking liar).
There is nothing wrong with eating the animals (after killing them properly, of course) that are condoned by the Bible. You should not eat shellfish for example, as the Bible outlaws that. If you read the Bible, you should get a pretty clear picture of what you can and can't eat.

But think logically: God made those animals for us and says "here, eat them", then it is rather rude to say "no, I don't wanna".

Be wary of false Kumbaya Christians who use a highlighter and scissors to read the Bible. God wants us to read the lines, not between the lines. False Christians will go to Hell:
          Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Asking a Christian to prove God exists is like asking him to prove his phone rings because yours doesn't. Make that call yourself! Dial 0800-get-on-your-knees-and-pray.

If GOD didn't want us to eat meat he wouldn't have made it taste so good. Dummy!

In a previous post you just started you claim to be a homosexual:

Re: Is it sinful to be Vegetarian?

You don't even need scripture to figure out this one. Vegans are very unChristian. They are a bunch of self-righteous pacifist pinkos.

Luke 15: 23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

                  Vegetables are what food eats!

Killing and eating animals is Godly!

Re: Is it sinful to be Vegetarian?

God allowed Noah and his sons to eat meat after the Great Flood in the Old Testament.

God created animals for a reason: to enjoy

Thankfully my sister just announced to me that she is planning on returning to god by ceasing her vegetarian practices.

Hopefully you too will see the light
