Benny Hinn Can't Heal Marriage, Wife Files For Divorce

ORANGE, Calif. – The wife of televangelist Benny Hinn has filed for divorce in Southern California. Suzanne Hinn filed the papers in Orange County Superior Court on Feb. 1, citing irreconcilable differences, after more than 30 years of marriage. The papers note the two separated on Jan. 26 and that Hinn has been living in Dana Point, a wealthy coastal community in southern Orange County.

Hinn is one of the best known advocates of the prosperity gospel, which teaches that Christians who are right with God will be rewarded with wealth and health in this lifetime.

We all love Suzanne Hinn dearly and hope she and Benny receive the True Christian(tm) counseling that will put their marriage back on its Godly course.

Still, in order for that to happen, Suzanne will really need to do something about those extra pounds she's been packing on over the last couple of years. She's gotten so heavy and unattractive, I'm not surprised her husband is rejecting her.

never had anything as scandalous as the "Big D" happen to them

I believe I heard that President Obama called Benny today. He wants Benny to continue his healing ministry because it keeps down healthcare costs in the United States.

Praise Jesus! I am glad God has punished Benny with this and hope his wife cleans him out with alimony. Now, while Benny has the respect of many here at Landover, I personally have issues with him.

Even though our health care is the best in the world, it still has problems because we have departed from God's health-care reform, a/k/a faith healing:

Brother Hinn did heal my back through the TV a few years back. I was bent over and not able to stand up and he called people at home to touch his hand for healing. Well as I leaned forward there was a 'pop' noise (I assume it was a demon fleeing) and I was able to stand up straight!

Praise God, may he correct his foul speaking wife and return to his righteous place.

Currently I am not airing any new shows. My heyday was the 1980's when I was on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN)...I think even Godless Canada was able to receive it. I had one of the top-rated televangelist shows in the world, in third place behind Rev. Jim Bakker and Rev. Jimmy Swaggart.

Then in 1990 I was sent to prison for the next fifteen years for tax evasion, embezzlement, fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering. So obviously I didn't have a show during this period. I got paroled in early 2005 and sought to re-establish my career.

Prior to joining Landover Baptist as a full-time senior pastor, I was on local cable access (KDOC) in Orange County, California. Usually I came on around 3 am because that was the only time slot I could afford at the time.

At the end of the day, I think this "divorce scare" will prove to be a mere "tempest in a teapot".

Knowing our Bible (and that Matthew 19:6 tells us "Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder") we Christians do not divorce.

That is why it's so important to keep homosexuals out of the marriage union and statistics, as their promiscuous, fickle natures would drive the national divorce rate through the roof.

The Hinns will weather this storm, and emerge the stronger. Satan may temp them to go against the Lord™s teachings and to divorce, but rest assured they will resist.
