Should I bury my Grandfather? Yes or No?

I am soon going to have to face a dilemma. I spend every available moment spreading God's message. It is very tiring work but I know that I am saving souls for Jesus.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

    Praise Be !

My problem is that I live with my Grandfather. He is 92 and has been told by doctors that he only has a couple of weeks left. He is a good Christian man so I am confident that he will be saved. However there is one passage from the Bible that is concerning me.

Luke 9:57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

If I follow the words of Jesus then surely I am better spending my time preaching than burying my Grandfather. The funeral will take a lot of arranging and during that time I could save many souls from an eternity of damnation.

We have a large wooded area on our land and plenty of wild animals so I do have an alternative to a time consuming funeral.

I'd not bother with the formalities. Surely there is a less Christian member of your family who will call by in a month or so and take the matter in hand.

It would be a great pity to have the Unsaved Trash deprived of your powers of conversion for even a few hours.

Drag him outside - something from the forest might take him.

Looking to your collected fairy tales....

Has he dug his grave yet?

Genesis 50:5 My father made me sweare, saying, Loe, I die: in my graue which I haue digged for me, in the land of Canaan, there shalt thou bury me. Now therfore let me goe vp, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I will come againe.

Surely there are some immigrants in your area that are handy with a shovel. Simply offer one or two them a few dollars to dig a pit on your property. When God kills your grandfather, simply toss him in the hole and call the immigrants back and let them know that you need the hole filled in. That should not cut into your preaching to too terribly much. And you may want to throw a blanket over your grandfather's corpse before the immigrants return, to avoid gossip by the unsaved locals.

Indeed, there is no other choice. Out of respect for a fellow Christian, however, I do suggest that you at least explain to your grandfather why he will not receive a Christian burial. It never hurts to have someone put in a good word for you with Jesus.

How dare you! My Grandfather has been a proud hardworking member of the community all his life. He has never been a leech on society! Please show him the respect he deserves.

I think I am going to let the wild animals pick him off. I have a wheel barrow so should only take ten minutes to drop him in the woods then I can immediately be out saving sinners from damnation. I have been praying for guidance but so far have had no answer. I will follow scripture. I believe that this is what Jesus wants me to do.
