That's great! It is nice to support friends in ways that benefit everyone! I bet they make some nice stuff. ^o^ What's your favorite scent? Do they make tropical stuff? Do they have an e-store?

My favorite scent is dragon's blood - it's got a patchouli base - I'm not sure what other oils go into the mix.

And no, they don't have an e-store. They sell out of their house and at local craft fairs.

I have a grudge (that's an understatement) against people saying "pure" essential oils, especially when mentioned after "all natural ingredients", and then people asking if this wonderful stuff can be bought via a medium that runs on nuclear power, gas, or oil.

I prefer not to have synthetics and/or petroleum products against my skin. So I use soaps and detergents that are plant-based.
For that same reason, I don't wear polyester, acrylic, or nylon.

I think you're saying you don't like people that act 'green' while using the same resources in shipping and handling.

But most women have sensitive skin. Both me and my mom can't use soaps, sprays, or lotions with high perfume or chemical contents because we break out.

Often, that is because people are allergic to vanilla. Look it up in secular media if you don't believe me.

Nope. But I do have a problem with people thinking that "synthetic" is the enemy of "natural".

Everything our LORD created is natural. That includes nuclear power. (did you know that even H2O has a half-life?)

Hi ladies! I was wondering if any of you make your own soap. I was thinking of starting because I tend to have a knack for all things related to the upkeep of a home. It also seems to be useful and would get back to the feeling of the good old days, when men and women both had to bring something to the table. I'm thinking, 'I cook, I clean, I do laundry and work on projects like sewing skirts and stuff, why don't I make my own soap to save money and really be self sufficient. I'm sure you ladies know what it's like to realize you've just ran out of dish soap/laundry detergent and have to leave the house to get it. Maybe it'll save time? I don't know. Does anyone here already make their own soap?

However, any True Christian household is going to want to support capitalism so it would be in your interest to just buy Dial from the grocery store like a normal person.

Oh my. Well, I plan to have it removed, if I can afford it. If not, I will either marry someone who doesn't mind or become a eunuch (Forgive me for saying it here, but I am not castrated) and tend to and assist a True Christian wife married to one of the True Christian men here.

No soap being made round Freehold, but BJ and the boys in security detail still use up barrel after barrel of sodium hydroxide.

My name is ******* and I don't like using it online. If you don't mind I prefer my screen name as I've used it all my life. Um, I don't really like the idea of leaving my family(I cook and clean and study all day, everyday), my college education, my dreams and my company behind so I can get beaten if I don't clean fast enough. Also, my brother is the 'whitest' of all his friends, to the point that his nickname is Token. So, no 'nigras' here. Sorry. My name '********' means . .***** , and my brother's name is Michael(doesn't need an explanation). My mom and dad have raised us to be productive entrepreneurs and good people. I'm also throughly mixed and only have a couple drops of African American blood in me. My grandparents and their parents were French Creole and from the West Indies, different types of Native American, Irish, French, and my dad is a white guy from Arkansas(also Irish descent). So I actually have more European type features, small nose, small ears and lips, almond shaped eyes and choco skin. My family has been successful and upper middle class for as long as I can really remember and no one rapes people or does drugs and fornicates. So I'm afraid that no one in my immediate family qualifies for your academy. I don't need to fool you. I have sensitive skin, I have all my life. I'm allergic to grass, too. When I was younger it would frustrate me because I would play around and roll down hills covered with grass and I would break out in hives. That aside, you don't know how my skin reacts to different chemicals. I break out in a rash if I clean stuff and don't wash the skin contacted by the chemicals. Sometimes I break out within minutes. It's very uncomfortable and I don't appreciate that you're insinuating that I'm a liar.
