The soap my friends make is made with all natural ingredients and pure essential oils, which makes their ingredients a bit more expensive.

I'm also throughly mixed and only have a couple drops of African American blood in me. My grandparents and their parents were French Creole and from the West Indies, different types of Native American, Irish, French, and my dad is a white guy from Arkansas(also Irish descent). So I actually have more European type features, small nose, small ears and lips, almond shaped eyes and choco skin. After I'm done fasting I'll show you a picture since you people have been nicer lately. My family has been successful and upper middle class for as long as I can really remember and no one rapes people or does drugs and fornicates.

I do have an opinion on things. I was raised to, in fact. My parents didn't want me to grow up and marry a guy that would abuse me, and in order to discern from those that would otherwise be unworthy they taught me to think for myself. And FYI my dad says I can use whatever I like as long as it smells nice and isn't ridiculously expensive. Not like that's any of your business. Also, I don't want to write an essay here and a paragraph is a paragraph. I don't typically make paragraphs when writing on any forums I may frequent. You really have no reason to insult me. Asking if I'm a 'wild nig' because I don't typically use paragraphs on a forum, even though I use proper grammar and spelling is truly uncalled for.

Some line breaks would help. When I see run on paragraphs like that, I'm less likely to read beyond the first sentance. If you can't describe what you want to say in one sentance, what good is the rest of the paragraph?

If it's easier to read then I'll make the changes. Paragraph breaks would make it seem more like a discussion and less like a rant of some type. Maybe that's why people keep picking on me?

That's what I'm talking about! Why are you picking on me!?! It's a discussion about soap and making it. I was saying if I put paragraph breaks in the content I post, people won't feel like I'm ranting or aggressive.

Terry, the biggest part of the problem here is that you're unsaved. If only you would get Right with Christ, your time here would be much more pleasant. You seem like a reasonably intelligent girl. Don't you agree it's only a matter of time before you finally see the Light?

I've told you people over and over that I already AM SAVED. I've been a Christian since I was very young, and I was finally baptized a few years ago a couple weeks before I took a pledge of purity. That was back when I was....uh, 14 or 15... I think I was already a junior... yeah, 15. I'm 18 now, and I'm still just as pure and still baptized, saved, and serving the Lord through fasting, prayer, and trying to lead people to Christ while waiting for a good Christian man to settle down with.

I don't know about the Paper or Plastic thing, Tlakota, but I do know a few things about soap.

When I was a girl at the Christian orphanage, a Norwegian woman worked there for a short while. She used to make soap, and I helped her by using the electric beater to blend the ingredients (yes, just like that other post said!). After we were finished making soap, she'd take the extra lye and use it to make Lutefisk.

I was never sure if the ladies fired her for being a viciously anti-Semitic Lutheran (following the lead of her master Martin Luther, but not something the ladies were aware of when they hired her -- she'd claimed to be Christian), or for the Lutefisk. I do know that her firing seemed awfully close in time to the orphanage-wide sampling of her fishy creation, and the purchase of two new mop-and-bucket sets.

In that case I'll have to pass, sorry. I'm not light skinned in any way. If the paper is 'peachy' colored, and I have to pass that, the lightest part that may pass is my fingernails and palms. ^-^ Thank you for the invitation though. I don't act up and I'm nice and respectful to elders, but I couldn't pass the paper bag test to save my life. If judgment was based on character and personality on a case by case basis I would definitely go, but if that is not possible I simply can't go.

I loved your post and the article made me laugh! Thank you very much for that information! Maybe now I'll look and see if there are any sites with Norwegian old timers that make soap. By the way, did the soap you helped make have a scent when it was done curing? Did you get a chance to use it?
