    Call him Nigger!

    The question here is should Guy Gibson’s dog still be called “Nigger”? In the remake of the 1954 British Film Dambusters the choice is “Niggy” “Nigger” or “Sopwith”. The 1954 film is of events in the 1940’s and the dog is, accurately, called “Nigger”.

    There are some concerned with the film that say that “Sopwith” will be the name of the dog in the US release and “Nigger” in the UK release. Is this right?

    As I’m set against revisionism, hence adherence to the Bible KJV1611, and as I believe that the Ethiopian cannot change his skin, I’m for historical accuracy, and Nigger it is!

    What’s your view and are there any other films or books where political correctness has given way to the honest, innocent truth of History?

      This film got Banned for absolutely no good reason.

          Why would anyone make a movie about someone who was stupid enough to name his dog after an African?

          Who the hell cares what the name of the dog is? Can't they just call it 'dog'? That's what I call them. Naming animals is for animal lovers, and I refuse to let these animals into my home. I wouldn't say that I hate them, but LOVE is a pretty strong term, and I don't use it loosely to refer to pets.

              Sister Talitha! That brings back memories. Any idea why it has been banned? It's amusing but accurate depictions surely qualify it under "Anthropology", "Social Science" or, God forfend, "Black Studies". Is it the work of liberal guilt-mongers?

                      Would be so kind as to show us which scriptures in the Holy Bible command us to be "open-minded" to unsaved trash like you?

                      Are you trying to maintain that Jesus loves queers, for example?

                          Nigger was a common word for Dogs during the day this film was made. If people are looking upon the film without a regard to context then dash em'. They are no better then those chumps who read the Bible without the context *cough* liberal john 3:16ers *cough*.

                                  Quite right how strange that there should be a change: a friend of mine's wife was recently chastised in a haberdashery for asking for nigger brown wool; I can't think what else she could call it.
