      Sorry, I thought at first glance that said, "The only thing in comedy..."

      Because Atheists are ridiculous.

      And that is the truth.

        Typical of atheists that abandon Jesus - they start thinking with their tallywhackers. Such pathetic and meaningless lives they lead.

        They could at least go to church once in awhile before Jesus finally dispatches them to their eternal reward in hell.

        Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;

          What's it like to an atheist?
          Just the same as being a Christian, but with a bit more freedom and time.
          I'm on here to answer questions by theists as best I can, and ask questions to have a better understanding of your religion. I completely respect everyone's individual faith and it world be impertinent and wrong of me to mock people who find happiness and salvation in their personal deity. So I won't.

          Q1. Why are Christians so happy to damn people to hell for not believing, do you believe that an extremely decent, loving atheist is going to hell, but a murdering Catholic who confesses his/her sins, is going to heaven. I just don't think that sounds right?

              I'm not entirely sure what a tallywhacker is? But I think with my brain, as does everyone. Why would I go to church if I don't believe in god? Would a Muslim expect you to go to a mosque?
              And like a lot of people in Europe I have never believed in any god, and I've been to church once in my life, as my atheist parents wanted me to gain intelligence of the subject from all perspectives, and I've not been since.
              I sort of understand the need for a deity, it gives answers to some difficult questions yet to be answered by science, but in my opinion, life is more worthwhile and more sacred and meaningful as an atheist, and the natural world becomes so much more beautiful because it hasn't been created.

                    How can you say you have more freedom when you are a slave to sin and we are free from sin?

                    Jn 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

                    1 Cor 10:1-12
                    1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
                    2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
                    3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
                    4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
                    5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
                    6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
                    7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
                    8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
                    9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
                    10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
                    11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
                    12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

                    In this passage, Paul tells us that just as God was displeased with many of the Israelites and destroyed them in the desert, so He is displeased with many in the church.

                    And you shouldn't rely on what you think. God hates rational thinking. Trust what God says in the Bible.

                    Prov 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

                    I sort of understand the need for a deity, it gives answers to some difficult questions yet to be answered by science,
                    Scientists would claim they have already answered a lot of questions. They think the big bang and evolution are the answer to the question of our origins. But they are wrong. The Bible tells us God created life and the universe in six, 24-hour days 6,000 years ago.

                    but in my opinion, life is more worthwhile and more sacred and meaningful as an atheist, and the natural world becomes so much more beautiful because it hasn't been created.
                    But if there is no God, life is meaningless.

                    Eccl 1:2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
                    sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? Well the only reason I'm insulting people is because the first thing I read on this site was completely ignorant, racist, and honestly it gave me another reason to hate the Human race! That's two strikes! I come from a family of Universal Adventurers, and Earth is the only world I've been to where the inhabitants fight each other... If your people where had abilities like Solians, your world would have been lost along time ago...

                          Pleas ignore this I just really want to post this as I've met people who fit this picture.

                              Scientists would claim they have already answered a lot of questions. They think the big bang and evolution are the answer to the question of our origins. But they are wrong. The Bible tells us God created life and the universe in six, 24-hour days 6,000 years ago.

                              But if there is no God, life is meaningless.

                              Eccl 1:2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
                              Hey Pim, thanks for your reply.
                              The reason I think I have more freedom as an atheist, is because I'm not bound by religious law, just the laws set out by my country.

                              I think all theistic religions are false, and although they are extremely interesting, and have great and terrible history, I think as far as deities, miracles and an afterlife are concerned, it's all false.

                              I was under the impression Catholicism was Christianity, and orthodox was a denomination of it?

                              If there is no God, life is meaningless? I completely disagree, as a theist, your life is provided for you to repent the sins you were born with, to worship Jesus and God, and in return you will be rewarded with eternity in heaven? So why don't you just end it now, why not foresake the rest of you life to reach your ultimate goal of eternal happiness in heaven?
                              Whereas as an atheist I recognise this is my only life and when I die, my body will become inanimate and I will cease to exist, therefore my life becomes more precious, and more meaningful as well as more beautiful.

                              Even the pope recognises evolution, there are no valid arguments supporting creation and no valid arguments refuting evolution. Unfortunately recent census shows the majority of the worlds Christians agrees with evolution, but suggest that it was initiated by God and subsequently supervised by him. Although there is obviously no evidence provided to support this counter theory.
                              Nice to meet you though Pim

                                Hey Pim
                                Do you see why this question is crazy? As a theist you believe, a supernatural, invisible, inaudible, unproven yet omnipotent, omniscient, omnipotent being created the billions of galaxy's and the hundreds of billions of stars and planets, billions of light years away, in 6 days, solely for the reason of creating imperfect humans, to judge their moral decisions, which ultimately will send them to heaven or hell? In the process certain, messengers of God displayed supernatural powers, to heal, part seas and create food from nothing? (Which ironically is an argument against atheism, something can't come from nothing, well in your book Jesus managed it when feeding the 5000?) and then have the audacity to ask an atheist to disprove it? Your the on making the extraordinary claim, so you should be the one providing the extraordinary evidence to support your theory. A police investigator can't just say to someone "your a murderer, now prove why your not" it's up to the investigator to provide the evidence for his/her theory. There's an unprecedented amount of evidence negating the theists position, but it's not up to us to provide it, it's up to the accuser.
                                I will of course admit that nobody can 100% disprove God exists, as much as you can't disprove the existence of Mohammed, Ganesh, Zeus, Thor, or any other magical mythical creature, and you don't believe in those.
                                I'm sorry Pim but your argument is illogical and has no basis
