Hi yall I gotta question. Why is it that all the pictures depicting Jesus Christ and his followers show them to be white in skin tone even though the Bible was revealed and Jesus lived in Palestine and the Middle East which is full of darker coloured skin people? Is this an error on the painters part? How do we not know that Jesus was not really just dark skinned, possibly brown or black? If people are wrong about this how can we trust all the other teachings of Christianity? And how can people even know that Jesus looked like how people depict him in paintings? He lived more than 2000 years ago and it is not like they had camera's or anything similar to recording what he looked like...

Just because someone lives somewhere doesn't mean they will look like the others. The rich people in south africa are all white. Most people think that the further north you go, the whiter people are, but that's not true as eskimos look like they are orientals.

You state that people with dark skin are dirty, are you racist then? If the Bible is dictated doesn't that mean its not the true word of God as anybody can dictate it and say that it is the word of God. Also in your link, it is a lot of American born Jews so of course not they're going to have dark skin and a lot of the Jews that are in Palestine right now although they are white, a lot of them migrated down there from Germany during and after the Holocost.Comment

The most logical explanation I can think of is that as picturs of Jesus were painted, they were made by white artists. For example, after a terrible war, history is always written by the victors. It's how it will always be. So, in this case, history was painted by the famous artists who depict Jesus like themselves.Comment
