Few people who ride horses, teach the young to ride or even rear them to be ridden, realise the danger that they put themselves in.
Riding horses is not so much a sin, but, by doing so, you place yourself in a position that, come the Rapture (and it's coming sooner than we think) will render you a target for God's Wrath.
Just as no sane person goes around in the company of those who deny God; just as you would never associate with those who do not believe that every Word of the Bible (KJV1611) is true, then to cleave to that band of people who ride horses is to be washed in the same evil that comes from them.
Who are the riders of horses? They are people like Christopher Reeve, who was crippled and killed by God, Who threw him from a horse, for putting himself on almost a level with Jesus by playing Superman.
They are the stiff-necked, the proud, the uncaring, those who say that they believe in Jesus but whose words are hollow for they only believe in themselves and their interpretation of The Word of God. Yes, Brothers and Sisters, they have selected verses that suit them - verses that they like - they have chosen their own interpretation of other verses and have created their own god and worship this beast!
"But", I hear you say, "how do we know all this?"
Well, you will note that, at the top of the main page, there is a verse from the bible. This verse is plucked at random and thus is we may say that the only Command it obeys is God's - it is a message from Him to us personally.
Jesus' Custom Bible Selection for You: And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. (Revelation 19:17-18)
Years back, I was preaching the above message when an atheist called out from the audience, "How do we know that these verses are accurate?" What a jerk! (a) they are there in the Bible and (b) we don't eat horse-meat, only birds like vultures eat horse-meat, and that is exactly what the verse says! "saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven."
So, if you do nothing else today, take this message from God with you - keep off horses, keep away from horses and keep away from all those who have anything to do with them!
If you must have something to do with them, then chose instead the donkey of which Balaam rode a talking one and Jesus rode two of them. Donkeys are OK in the eyes of God - they are humble and wise.
