    Forgotten God?

I have often wondered why it is that God sometimes curses people so that they forget everything. This was brought to the front of my mind when I read
Sister of mystery man with amnesia says family had no idea where he was: Michael Boatwright was found unconscious in a Palm Springs motel. When he awoke, he spoke in Swedish and remembered little to nothing of his past.
Now, this is all too common: I well recall eating from a street food stall in Mexico and waking up in hospital three days later having ordered 14 Justin Bieber albums.

So what is God up to?

You will recall how Joseph interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh’s chief butler and baker:

Gen 40:13 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler. […]
Gen 40:19 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.
Gen 40:20 And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.
Gen 40:21 And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand:
Gen 40:22 But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.
Gen 40:23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.

Obviously, the chief butler had the same experience; he too probably woke up speaking Swedish.

Can we explain this? I think it is a test. A test of faith. If you forgot everything else – your car keys, your social security number, the password to Landover, etc., would you still have faith?

The answer is “Obviously!” (Although if you had also forgotten the word “obviously” it might be something else.) as you would just have to look around to concluded that the was a God and that Jesus is His Son and they made the world!

And now we come to the crunch! You know how there are all those people in the world who have never heard of Jesus and how they will all go to Hell? Well, aren’t they in the same position? Of course they are!

Rom 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Rom 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another.
Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

So we can see that even atheists and Catholics know there is a God.

And they are dealt with thus:

2Th:1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

But that is because you are born knowing there’s a God and you really have to work at denying God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit and then work against what they have given you from birth – these things cannot be forgotten!

And thus, people who wake up speaking Swedish will still know in their heart and soul exactly what God wants of them – their life.

    Re: Forgotten God?

It may be necessary for those who lack faith to forget the summation of their experience in order to find the Bible credible. Think of the poor folks who have perceived the curvature of the Earth's surface and extrapolated from that the roundness of the Earth, flying in the face of the Gospel. Think of those who have learned that Pi is not equal to three. Most intelligent people lack the virtues of faith and willful ignorance and would wind up in Hell if it weren't for amnesia. Amnesia is truly a gift from the Most High God.

It's simple. God smote him with the Hollandaise language. The man is hellbound.

God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned.--2 Th.2:11-12

Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.--Jeremiah 6:21
        Who Will Jesus Damn?
