I received a text message the other day that read, “U r mad o_O :-)” and I thought to myself, “Another atheist!” but more than that, I thought how it is that atheists don’t understand God at all and how various Christians tell us we need to be bleeding-heart lieberals and that “God loves everyone” (which is a lie) or that the death cookie turns to a mouthful of Jesus’s right forearm (which is a lie.)
And so I got to thinking how important it was to have God’s message clear in people’s mind, otherwise, they’ll all end up burning in Hell forever.
The Bible is clear enough to me and I have no idea why it isn’t equally clear to everyone! I mean, I, and all True Christians™ are quite reasonable and yet all manner of sects disagree with our thoughts. Why?
So, I thought of something modern. Here’s an example from Mark 27:
42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. x-(
43 He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God. (lol)
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. :o
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? &(
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. :-(
Or M't:26:48: Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast. 3:)
So I spent some time going over various chapters.
The Old Testament could be worked over too:
Hosea 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up. Lol :)
Jeremiah 20:7 O Lord, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived. :’(
Ezekiel 14:9 And if a prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet. ;)
The trouble is that I am not up-to-date on this young person's text speak thing. Can anyone help?
