Re: A rant from an irate Englishman.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Smith was right twice in one day! Eve's navel isn't mentioned in the Bible, and he is the biggest prick at Landover. Which is saying a lot.

That doesn't mean we should gloss over the contradictions in the Bible. I could go on for ages about them. For example, did Jesus give his life as a ransom for all, or only for some?

Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. (Jesus explaining to his disciples why they should be humble, a lesson not often cited at Landover.)

Each and every one of you disgusts me; and your existence in the real world is unbelievable. You all seem to think that America is some sort of heaven on earth, with Europe remaining a cesspit of filth. I can tell you now that you are a disgrace to Americans.

It is one thing to be supportive of a religion, but your zealot attitude is completely ridiculous... actively insulting entire groups of people because of their race. America is not built on the foundation of white, evangelist Christians. Fortunately, like most countries it relies on immigrants from all over the world. The compuer you're using uses parts built by people from around the world... people you actively insult. Your naivety is astounding. Many businesses that support the USA are owned by foreign Businessmen and women who originate from Europe... even the "God-hating English" have an important role in the world.

        Fancy that...

And now, the posts that do reply to this will probably be filled with the boring, unpredictable Jesus veil that I've seen thrown around all over this website...

Well you know what, I'll do what I think God wants me to do, rather than following the instruction of misguided, nationalist buffoons who can't accept change.

        Joe
What heresey. And the term "Fancy that..." it's obvious that you are a pansy Brit joy boy homer.
In the Beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth. Genesis 1.1. This scripture is the first verse of the Bible for a reason. It lays the foundation for the absolute truth found in God's Holy WORD, the Bible.

We have only one purpose here, Joe.

Our purpose is to share with you and people like you what the Bible tells us. You know, God's Word.

          Have you read it?

If you want to know what God wants you to do, then you need to read the Bible. That's what we do.

Could you tell us where we've misunderstood any point of Scripture? I've no doubt the Pastors would be happy to discuss any such issues with you.

We hear frequently of these "tolerant Christians". They say that God loves everybody, and that everybody goes to Heaven . . . even Jews and Islamists.

          The Bible says different, Joe.

We believe what God wrote in the Bible for us to follow. Those who don't but call themselves "Christians" are liars, Joe.

I'm glad you've come to Landover. Here, you have a chance to take a big step up in the world, and get to know some True Christians(tm). We'll be happy to help you understand God's Word!

            Ah yes... the contradictions...

Somebody helpful has created a thread devoted to them.

            5. Luke 18:24 And Jesus looked at him and said, "How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!

            No.
            1. Matthew 13:12 - Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.

            Does God do miracles today?
            Yes.
            1. Matthew 19:24-26 - Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
            2. Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

            No.
            1. John 19:30 - So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” [some people claim that Jesus’ death and resurrection was the ultimate proof of God’s authority, so miracles to prove God are no longer needed]

Will most people go to hell?
            Yes.
            1. Luke 13:23-24 - Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" He said to them, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.
            2. Matthew 7:14 - But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
            3. Matthew 22:14 - For many are invited, but few are chosen.
            4. Only 144,000 saved? Revelation 14:1 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.

            No.
            1. Romans 3:23 - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
            2. Revelation 7:9-11 - After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.

            ----------------------------------------------------------------------

You people pick and choose what to believe, and then think that everyone else is wrong.

            Nice logic there...

              Here's another contradiction:

2 Kings 24 verse 8 (KJV) says: "Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months." 2 Chronicles 36 verse 9 (KJV) says: "Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD."

                What's your point, Joe?

We still run the United States, and will once again rule Europe within just a few years.

Which side do you want to be on? God's, or the Islamists'?

Erm, you don't run the US.... you really don't.

Republican doesn't equate to evangelist Christian.

There are 30 Jews in the House of Representatives. Considering the number of Jews in America, thats a much higher proportion than with Christians.

Christians do not run America, and Muslims are not harbingers of evil...

Since we're counting these things, how many Congressmen are negroes? And what great technologies have negroes introduced to the world (outside peanut butter)?

But George W. Bush does, Joe. Mike Huckabee does, too. And Barack Obama, Joe, even though he's a false Christian.

Yes, 30 out of 435. Jews are practically running the country.

You do realise that few Christians hold the same extreme views as the members of this website. I'm sure most Christians would be offended if you implied that their thought patterns even remotely resembled the opinions found on this website.

Joe, "most" Christians may indeed be liberal False Christians. However, as I pointed out before, they will gladly choose a conservative, Bible-believing Christian over an Islamist . .. . or an atheist.

Did you know that in a number of states in the US, atheists are not allowed to hold public office or testify in court under oath? It's true, Joe. Look it up.

Coming soon to a European nation near you, Joe. Thank the Islamofascists; I do!

Which is why all of the anti-gay marriage ballot initiatives in the US have been voted down in overwhelming numbers. No, wait a minute, they weren't all voted down. In fact, they all passed.

Yeah, I guess we're way outside the mainstream. But at least our kids don't have to explain to their classmates at school why they have three daddies and four mommies.

I have no desire to be "in touch" with your filthy, muckraking general poulation..or Gen Pop as I've heard it's described in prison. For your acursed world is but a prison, Joe. And it is but the Landover Baptist Church that offers parole.
