    LeRoys Lament:The Lesson

Down in the south, long time ago,
The Lawd bless the world wif another nigro.
His mamma named him LeRoy and wouldn't you guess,
Wif everything the Lawd gave him, his life was still a mess.
Everybody knows the coloreds are given,
Manhoods so large that the men are driven
To go after white ladies much to our chagrin,
Cause fornication wif whites is a terrible sin.
They took ole Leroy and hung him to a tree,
And his grabstone read "Day made an example out of me"

A truly sad story, Sister Valvoline.

I blame his parents for not teaching him his proper place in life - "Darkies should not touch Whities."

    Such a simple lesson.

Have you thought of setting it to a merry tune of some sort? You folks seem to have a natural gift where rhythm is concerned.
