Good point, Sister Handmaiden. I had not really thought about how to pay for a separate or parallel system of justice. Make the guilty pay is a sound principle.

Plus personal damages to the President, for emotional turmoil and valuable time wasted.

Is there anything more inspiring and uplifting than the image of President Trump holding up a Bible?

I understand that many in the vicinity were so powerfully moved that they were in tears.

You can bet Democrats will not use that old smart-ass question, "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" There will be a resounding YES!

People today can look forward to better times. Four years ago the economy was good but people could only look forward to the down business cycle. Now times are not so great but something exciting and good is just over the horizon.

I read somewhere that during the Inquisition, family members were given a bill after the torture of their relatives. The reasons for this are very practical. The people being interrogated where provided with a room, a bed and meals during their stay in the prisons. Also, one must consider that the interrogators' time has value and pay for the application of their skills. And there are the clean up costs of all the blood and whatever.

Your post highlights the need for a judiciary in step the nation's leader. France has so few examples appropriate for this forum but one example of dissent, specifically in the area of finance, is relevant here.
PAPA UBU. Hurry, if you please. Now I want to make laws.

SEVERAL. This we’ve got to see.

PAPA UBU. I’m going to first reform justice. After that we will proceed to finances.

SEVERAL MAGISTRATES. We oppose all change.

PAPA UBU. Pshe! From now on, magistrates will no longer be paid.

MAGISTRATES. And what will we live on? We are poor.

PAPA UBU. You can have the fines you impose and the possessions of those you sentence to death.

                FIRST MAGISTRATE. Horror!

                SECOND. Infamy!

                THIRD. Scandal!

                FOURTH. Indignity!

ALL. We refuse to judge under those circumstances.

PAPA UBU. Into the hole with the magistrates!

                . .They struggle in vain.

I wouldn't suggest a dreadful hole for dissenters any more than I'd suggest a guillotine; identifying a problem is quite separate from any proposed remedy however and in the former respect Jarry's vision was clear – even though he was French.

Confiscation of property has been a way to support good judges and law enforcement for a long time. I think we could support a system that runs parallel to the current system using confiscation.

In the U.S. days of hunting down and killing witches this was how it was paid for. Wealthy women were suspicious because after a woman was dragged off and burned her possessions were sold and some money went to the Christian efforts against witchcraft.

More recently, local sheriffs could confiscate trucks and other saleable possessions of "suspected" drug dealers. These, too, were sold. Suspects found not guilty were not repaid.

I think we are on the way to making the President effective like a good President should be. That old "separation of powers" thing was not meant to apply when we have a great President.

I think Trump may have finally relented at all the people telling him they were tired of winning. A life of no adversity and challenges. No growth, no difficulty. What kind of life is that? Like the national guard members getting education paid for through benefits. It's too easy. What fun is life without a little bit of student debt to motivate you to get a higher paying job and achieve your best? People were bored of winning. Well they're not bored now. Once people have had their fun we can get right back to winning again.

Presidential bunker inspections are projected to continue through Saturday.

D.C. expects largest crowd yet for George Floyd protest on Saturday
A city official says different protests are scheduled to start at different places, but eventually the expectation is most of them will converge in the area near 16th and H Streets NW, a block from the White House.

If you want a job done right you have to do it yourself. Trump has already mentioned how he knows better than the doctors and the generals. Apparently, he knows better than the structural engineers as well. Trump must have decided that even with all the numerous staff on hand only he was qualified to accurately inspect the bunker. We're so fortunate to have such a talented President who cares so much about quality assurance.

According to the Bible, all animals were created for us to eat, or even to kill or torture for fun if we so wish. And that does indeed include spotted owl, Hawaiian monk seal, Californian condor and other endangered species.
                                You asked, he delivered.

The Trump administration on Monday threw out a new rule intended to limit the numbers of endangered whales and sea turtles getting caught in fishing nets.

Interior Secretary David Bernhardt says the revisions will make the landmark conservation law more efficient. Critics say it will hurt endangered plants and animals as they face mounting threats.

Trump throughout the years has been stepping up when it comes to killing endangered species.

The act is generally uncontroversial among the public: About 83 percent of Americans (including a large majority of conservatives) support it, according to an Ohio State University poll. And it works: According to the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the act has prevented the “extinction of 99 percent of the species it protects.”
Trump doesn't let what's popular stop him from doing what's right.

Until now, the agencies that enforce the ESA have had to base their decisions of whether to protect a species solely on scientific data, “without reference to possible economic or other impacts of such determination.”
From whales, to the bald eagle, to most recently wolf and bear cubs.

Let's face it, ever since the automobile has been invented animals have gotten incredibly lazy. We provide them food, shelter, but how have animals contributed to our economy (except through us killing them?) Cows producing milk? Do they even do that anymore? Maybe police dogs. That's basically it.

Other animals need to step it up. What matters isn't their scientific or ecological impact or cuteness, but their economic impact.

With these new measures in place, previously lazy bear and wolf cubs will be motivated to spur on our economic recovery by letting us ride them, gathering food for us and pretty much whatever else we want.

Dems won't let us have human slaves back so this is the next best thing.

Pretty soon every American can be (almost) as manly as Brother President Putin

What's particularly helpful about these repeals is that the longer these repeals are in effect the harder it will be for the next smelly corrupt Democrat president to stop. Dems can waste mountains of molla on stupid Pandas that won't breed, but they can't waste tons of funds protecting an already extinct can they?
