It's a beautiful thing to see the government finally working as our Founding Fathers (white Christian males) intended. What do white Christian males want these days? They want less brown folks, lower taxes and less government.

Thank you Sister. Yes it's important the President stay healthy with some R&R during this stressful time. The work never ends though. I've just read that the shutdown won't affect Special Counsel Mueller’s Russia investigation. That doesn't make sense - we need a REALLY GOOD shutdown that will be great for America.

It won't? Then, what's the point? Even if the government saves money by stiffing people on their Social Security checks now, won't they have to shell out back payments later?


Taking away healthcare for a few weeks might cull the population of criticially and chronically ill people who are a continual drain on our resources, and I don't think that their relatives can sue the government, can they? Now that I think about it, we need to change the law so that wrongfully convicted felons can't sue the government for big bucks anymore. If anything, the government should charge them for the free room and board they received which they really didn't have a right to since they weren't real criminals. Just think about the cost of the services they enjoyed under false pretenses.

On Sundays in summer you will find thousands of people camping in National Park Service parks. They should be in church. The Government staffs Presidential Libraries. Really, with the exception of Nixon, Reagan and Bush II who cares about former Presidents? Shut down all those except the three Presidents that stood up for America.

And, Old Faithful, the automatic shower head. Shut that park down and show people a movie of it. Does seeing it live make people better Christians? I think not.

I read the Statue of Liberty is closed. Anyone can see the Statue of Liberty by just looking across from New Jersey. Besides, when the French gave it to us they should have included money to keep it open. They are really cheap jerks.

I must say I'm confused by all this.


One one hand, President Trump () says that the shutdown is a nice first anniversary gift from the democrats. Which nicely goes along with what Sister Mary posted - this is what he wanted, and this is what he got as his anniversary gift.


On the other hand, the whole debacle heavily disrupted our Fearless Leader's busy golfing schedule - he has to stay in Washington just in case the Senate reaches some kind of agreement. Which is a real bummer.


On the third hand, during the 2013 government shutdown, America's Bestest President blamed that illegal alien who lived in the White House, Obama:

So which one is it? A nice anniversary gift, golfing schedule disruption, or the president's fault for not leading?

I'm beginning to feel a headache. Politics is so confusing to me. I'm so glad we have President Trump () who can navigate these complex nuances so easily and smoothly. God bless his heart.

It's a foolproof plan. All the Republicans have to do is threaten to break down the social fabric of society and rip the country apart and the Democrats come running to sign onto whatever they propose to do.
