Trump gets a folder full of positive news about himself twice a day

Twice a day since the beginning of the Trump administration, a special folder is prepared for the president. The first document is prepared around 9:30 a.m. and the follow-up, around 4:30 p.m. Former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and former Press Secretary Sean Spicer both wanted the privilege of delivering the 20-to-25-page packet to President Trump personally, White House sources say.

These sensitive papers, described to VICE News by three current and former White House officials, don’t contain top-secret intelligence or updates on legislative initiatives. Instead, the folders are filled with screenshots of positive cable news chyrons (those lower-third headlines and crawls), admiring tweets, transcripts of fawning TV interviews, praise-filled news stories, and sometimes just pictures of Trump on TV looking powerful.

Bit of a rough patch lately. Let's help fill Mr. Trump's daily briefings with strong, positive stories. OK, I'll start us off.

More good news. President Trump was not invited to John McCain's funeral. Nor was he invited to several others, like Barbara Bush. He has more important things to do. He went golfing. These people are dead, no longer important. They cannot help Make America Great Again.

Donald Trump now has an opportunity to import millions of republican voters into the country, make his opponents look like idiots, and, best of all, get compared to Ronald Reagan.

Just like when Reagan allowed Cuban refugees to turn Florida into a red state, Donald Trump now has the opportunity to bring in millions of Venezuelan refugees, who will be fiercely anti-socialist voters, and will prove once and for all that Trump is not racist or anti-immigrant, he just wants there to be law and order.

Look, I said there's an opportunity, and it's good news that there's an opportunity. I not saying he's not going to blow it, and prove that is really is a racist anti-immigrant idiot who has nothing in common with Reagan. Our job here is to deliver good news, not to prevent the president from turning out to be a racist anti-immigrant idiot who has nothing in common with Reagan.
