I am not surprised some worshiper of Ayn Raynd would turn his back on our Loving Savior and spit on His greatest creation the Free Market System. America is the greatest country in all history because of capitalism. But you Libertarians want to turn us into a socialist hellhole like Canada or Sweden!

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

That's the point of running a business.

So, you think that they shouldn't make a profit. They should go broke, in which case their investors would pull out, and nobody would have health insurance.

I assume you think the same of pharmaceutical companies, that they should spend hundreds of millions, if not billions, developing and testing drugs, then give them away for free?

Tell me, why do you think America is the place people go when they want the best medical treatment? Because they can GET IT HERE, instead of waiting while their cancer spreads until the government bureaucrats decide that it's their turn for chemotherapy or surgery!

Modern life requires electricity, so I guess nobody should have to pay for that, right?

You haven't thought this through, have you?

And why in the world would you pick "Libertarian" as your screen name, when you're clearly anti-libertarian and in fact socialist?

        You're a tad naive.

A few Canukistanis in the wild west do not a majority make.

I did watch the video. He quit. To up and just quit implies dissatisfaction. I still say he's most likely disgruntled.

        OK, dictionary time.

        ad hominem

–adjective 1.appealing to one's prejudices, emotions, or special interests rather than to one's intellect or reason.2.attacking an opponent's character rather than answering his argument.

I'm guessing you are implying my argument falls into the first definition because it certainly does not fall into the second. I'm guessing you think I was appealing to your emotions by pointing out lots of people will lose their jobs.

The thing is, even if you believe I offered an ad hominem argument, you went on to say this: "Yes losing jobs would be unfortunate; However, it won't all happen at once, and most, if not all, will be able to find work elsewhere. It's an unfortunate trade off, but worth it." You essentially are saying I'm right. So where's the ad hominem?

I personally would not want to be one of the people that loses a good job at a good company due to the irresponsible actions of my government.

In the Beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth. Genesis 1.1. This scripture is the first verse of the Bible for a reason. It lays the foundation for the absolute truth found in God's Holy WORD, the Bible.

I'm not watching that video if, as the thread starter claims, it alone can turn a conservative into a moronic socialist. I'm not jumping to any conclusions, but maybe there are demonic subliminal verses in the video...

You don't even know what a libertarian is if you think it is in any way related to socialism. You should do a google search and find out what it really is.

The bible says nothing about socialism/capitalism. The apostles were sinners just like everyone else, and many of them were poor. I'm kind of surprised by some of the assumptions you make; you don't sound like you research things before you make opinions about them.

He's nothing more than an ACORN representative sent by Obama and Pelosi to troll forums to garner support to nationalize the health care system. That PBS link is to Bill Moyers, an unrepentant socialist and a lifelong DEMONcrat.

It's no wonder that Pelosi wanted to pass that health care bill before the break. Millions of Americans are taking torches and pitchforks to their local town hall meetings.
