Friends, I think you can agree with me that it is ridiculous to deny medical care to anyone in our country. If the means are there to help people, they shouldn't be shut out due to lack of insurance or low income. Isn't that what Jesus would want you to do?

You're right that I do know a lot of Mexicans through my charitable works in soup kitchens and teaching young Mexican children to speak English. However, I am an American female. Oh you have got to be kidding me That's why anyone who can afford to flocks to the US to get healthcare right? That's why all of the CANADIAN POLITICIANS go to the US for medical treatment, right? Oh yeah it's great.

I worked in the Canadian health care system for 15 years. Governments would waste millions of dollars buying an MRI system and then it sits idle because they're too cheap to hire the staff to use it. They hire people at minimum wage to clean hospitals and then wonder why infections are running rampant.

The major difference between the American and Canadian system is that the American system is viewable by the public. Health Canada and the Canadian College of Physicians are great at keeping about 95% of the negative news from ever becoming public.

Oh, and you care to tell me why Canadian trained doctors head for the US, and Canadians are stuck with South Africans and East Indians as their doctors? That is, if they're one of the lucky ones that actually have a General Practitioner.
