Texas Republicans oppose demonic "critical thinking"

See the full report here http://s3.amazonaws.com/texasgop_pre...form-Final.pdf

Freedom from demonic liberal "critical thinking":

Knowledge-Based Education – We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) (values clarification), critical thinking skills and similar programs that are simply a relabeling of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) (mastery learning) which focus on behavior modification and have the purpose of challenging the student’s fixed beliefs and undermining parental authority
Who needs "critical thinking" when your beliefs are already perfect? Any extra thinking you could do from there could only make things worse. Not to mention, this gets the government out of the child's life instead of having schools impose their sinful ideas onto the child. Texas allows the parents to have the proper authority that they should have.

    Freedom to bully homosexuals:

Homosexuality ― We affirm that the practice of homosexuality tears at the fabric of society and contributes to the breakdown of the family unit. Homosexual behavior is contrary to the fundamental, unchanging truths that have been ordained by God, recognized by our country’s founders, and shared by the majority of Texans.

Homosexuality must not be presented as an acceptable “alternative” lifestyle, in public policy, nor should “family” be redefined to include homosexual “couples.” We believe there should be no granting of special legal entitlements or creation of special status for homosexual behavior, regardless of state of origin. Additionally, we oppose any criminal or civil penalties against those who oppose homosexuality out of faith, conviction or belief in traditional values.
Absolutely right again. A huge problem is when sin is presented as an acceptable "alternative lifestyle". One lifestyle leads to an eternity of bliss, and one leads to an eternity of suffering. Any loving Christian would shame and oppose homosexuals until they abandon their disgusting lifestyle.

    Protecting us from pornography:

Pornography ― We encourage the enforcement of laws regarding all forms of pornography, because pornography is detrimental to the fabric of society.
Some people may think pornography is just a harmless activity between adults that doesn't hurt anyone. That as an adult you should be able to do what you want with your body. Well, those people are wrong. The very fabric of society is torn every time someone views pornography. How dare anyone expect us to sit by and allow them to destroy the fabric of society?

    Embodying the American Conservative dream!

The embodiment of the conservative dream in America is Texas. Throughout the world people dare to dream of freedom and opportunity. The Republican Party of Texas unequivocally defends that dream
I couldn't have said it any better myself. The greatest state in the world once again raises the bar on preserving freedom and setting principles.

The latest platform from the republican party is an astounding collection of wisdom and values that our whole country could learn from. Seeing this gives me hope that our country can have its values restored.

Texas and Jesus have such a connection that even spilt white blood at the hands of Santa Anna and his Mexican army can't accurately convey it.

As I've pointed out before, abstract reasoning skills have been shown to correlate positively with acceptance of faggotry. What more evidence do you need that our precious children should be protected from learning abstract reasoning skills? If the fruit is so foul, what does that say about the tree (Luke 6:44)?
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

About time someone stood up against the constant bullying from Atheists and gays against us God fearing Christians. I've had issues with the Liberals in Texas like Perry in the past, but this time the Texas Republicans step up to the plate and defend the values of our Founding Fathers.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

Critical thinking just takes time away from praising Jesus and getting the chores done! Why think when God says that His thoughts are not ours-
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. (Isaiah 55:8)
I just let God and my Godly husband-to-be do all my thinking for me, then I can focus on more important things like making sure that the pie is perfect!
Ezekiel 36:26- A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

This is what we pay Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity for. Americans don't need no stinkin' "critical thinking" when Rush and Sean can do it for you.

Even back in Biblical times, Jesus listened to AM talk radio and Fox News to learn the word of God. This "critical thinking" nonsense is what leads to Obamacare and gay marriage.

I've always felt that forcing students to say the pledge of allegiance is wrong. Not only does it tend to force a belief in God onto impressionable children, but it's a government intrusion upon the freedom of speech, which makes it downright unpatriotic.

When children grow up with self esteem, they'll see for themselves all of the wonderful things about America--the tremendous economic opportunity, the (albeit imperfectly implemented) notion of justice and equality for all, the great freedoms we enjoy--and they'll develop allegiance for themselves, without being brainwashed into it. They'll also learn of our failings--there is all too much bigotry and war mongering and unwillingness to help the less fortunate in America's political life. But children who exercise their own judgment and think for themselves will come to see that, too, and the next generation will be better off than this one is.

Are you sure you graduated from somewhere? Were the kids around you wearing hockey helmets? Freedom of speech also means that we are free to recite the Pledge of Allegiance whenever and wherever we please. Can you tell me how pledging your very allegiance to your nation (one that God was kind enough to allow you to be born in, mind you) is unpatriotic?? The very idea is just silly.

Wow, this is something special. What in the world does "self esteem" have to do with loving one's nation? You could say the same thing about children: let them figure out whether they love Jesus or not, but does the Bible tell us to do that? Heck no! It tells us to raise our children in the way that they should go (i.e. Christian).

No one is claiming that we force our children to watch any sort of Nazi propaganda. We are simply asking that our children respect the sacrifices of others and to recognize what a great nation it is that we live in. And for some reason you bleeding-heart liberals have a problem with that!

Huh? We as a nation dole out hundreds of billions of dollars in aid around the globe, from here at home to the Israelis on the other side of the world. We provide cheap housing, food and 2 years of salary for those who don't have jobs (as well as other avenues for the epidemic of single-parent homes). We have welfare-collecting families of 8 running around with iPhones and laptops. I think your viewpoint is skewed, my friend. My taxes, and the taxes of my fellow Christians, and your taxes (assuming you pay taxes and aren't just sucking off of Uncle Sam's Handout Teat) pay for those who just can't seem to spend less than they make.

I weep for America when I spend any time thinking about this. In the next 20 years or so when the huge portion of our population who has spent an entire career putting money into their 401k starts to retire, there will be a problem. That problem is: who pays for the ones who didn't save? Are you planning on taxing the smart savers to subsidize those who just had to have that BMW in their 50's? Or are you going to make your kids pay for them? See the slippery slope you fall into when you start to ask people to pay for more and more crap?

                          Dear nutcase:

The US Constitution guarantees freedom OF speech, not freedom FROM speech.

In other words, you may freely say whatever your blackened little God-mocking heart desires; however, when the Government tells you, you are still required to recite the Pledge or any other oath they require of you. Just like you can pray to any demons you like in private (Satan, Allah, Cthulhu, Oprah, whatever), but when the National Day of Prayer comes, you'd best be on your knees for Jesus!

There isn't even a law that states you have to say the pledge of allegiance. If a you just stood there and mumbled "one nation under big intrusive government" or whatever else it is you worship odds are no one would notice you.

Everyone else has used their freedom of speech in order to celebrate their patriotism. The teacher and the students willingly say the pledge of allegiance. If you're opposed to liberty, and justice, and this nation that is your choice. Why should you be allowed to disrupt the class for everyone else though?

Look, the whole point of Christianity is to renounce critical thinking and just accept God. Swallow Him whole is the only way to go.

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
