It's been a long hard slog, but working with other Republican politicians, I can say proundly we have prevailed. Blind people in Iowa can pack heat.
For a long time, blind people have been unable to protect themselves. People could break into their homes, rob them on the street and shoot them at random. Now, they are protected.
With the right to carry weapons, blind people can fire in the direction sounds of their attackers and kill them before they, themselves, are killed. Defending themselves is one of the rights our Founding Fathers demanded. For those who say Republicans do not look after the disabled, you must now admit you are wrong:
