I am more than a little alarmed by this. Your husband is not supposed to be your soulmate but the head of the family. Wives should submit to their husband's leadership as they submit to Christ's leadership of His body, the church. He gave his life, after all, to be its savior. You must obey your husband in everything just as the church obeys Christ. See Ephesians 5:22-24.

Jesus should be your "soulmate," not your husband.

Since neither of us is Christian, the Bible's rules regarding marriage (or anything else) do not apply to us.

I am a wretched sinner born a God-hater, saved by the precious blood of Jesus Christ made anew through the "regeneration of the Holy Spirit" (Titus 3:5) and being "transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2). And plan to follow His command in Matthew 28:18-20
