Your post is EXACTLY what I was talking about a few months or so back in Sunday School. We were watching some rap videos to get a feel for the "black experience" and one of my students asked about the word nigger. She wanted to know why colored folks seemed so offended when white folks said it but they were almost gleeful when using it themselves.
I explained it was because of black racism. The only difference being the color of the person using it as to the response from the black person hearing it. It's so obvious that after I explained it, the kids all giggled every time they heard it the rest of the day.

African Americans are entitled to use that word because the context is totally different from when a despicable white person like you uses it. African Americans use the word to lessen its power and take away its sting.

Please provide me with the name and address of your church so I can report you to the authorities for brainwashing children with your racist rhetoric.

After I explain that it's just a word and the black racism is what empowers it, the kids begin to giggle when they hear it. Much the same way children laugh when they hear a fart. It lessens it's impact on them and it becomes just another word used to describe a black person, just as the black people use it to describe each other.
