I was stating a fact, who knows, maybe they turned over a new leaf. After all if Iron Maiden can pull off having a more Christian message than some of my Christian CDs anything is possible.

      Do tell.

Not about what Iron Maidens are "pulling off", but about their Christian message.

Actually, this does sound quite plausible... I can't be the only one to have noticed the startling similarity between Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maidens and Cliff Richard:

        It's frankly uncanny.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

It's probably not Christian the way you think of it, but God and religion are subjects in a couple songs on the new album a mather of life and death.

            for example:
Are you a man of peace
Or a man of holy war
            Too many sides to you
            Don’t know which anymore
            So many full of life
            But also filled with pain
            Don’t know just how many
            Will live to breathe again

A life that’s made to breathe
            Destruction or defense
            A mind that’s vain corruption
            Bad or good intent
            A wolf in sheep’s clothing
            Or saintly or sinner
            Or some that would believe
            A holy war winner

            They fire off many shots
            And many parting blows
            Their actions beyond a reasoning
            Only God would know
And as he lies in heaven
Or it could be in hell
            I feel he’s somewhere here
            Or looking from below
            But I don’t know, I don’t know

Please tell me now what life is
Please tell me now what love is
Well tell me now what war is
Again tell me what life is

More pain and misery in the history of mankind
            Sometimes it seems more like
            The blind leading the blind
It brings upon us more famine, death and war
You know religion has a lot to answer for

Please tell me now what life is
Please tell me now what love is
Well tell me now what war is
Again tell me what life is

And as they search to find the bodies in the sand
They find its ashes that are
            Scattered across the land
And as the spirits seem to whistle on the wind
A shot is fired somewhere another war begins

And all because of it you’d think
            That we would learn
But still the body count the city fires burn
            Somewhere there's someone dying
            In a foreign land
Meanwhile the world is crying stupidity of man
Tell me why, tell me why

Please tell me now what life is
Please tell me now what love is
Well tell me now what war is
Again tell me what life is

Please tell me now what life is
Please tell me now what love is
Well tell me now what war is
Again tell me what life is

For the greater good of God (x8)

Please tell me now what life is
Please tell me now what love is
Well tell me now what war is
Again tell me what life is

Please tell me now what life is
Please tell me now what love is
Well tell me now what war is
Again tell me what life is

For the greater good of God (x8)

He gave his life for us
            He fell upon the cross
To die for all of those
            who never mourn his loss
            It wasn’t meant for us
            to feel the pain again
Tell me why, tell me why

I have it on good authority that the subjects of God and religion are also both mentioned extensively in the new Slayer and Deicide albums, not to mention Karl Marx's Contribution to a Critique of Hegel's Philosophy of Right, Freddy Nietzsche's Thus Spake Zarathusa, and Richard Dorkins' The God Delusion. Just mentioning the subjects of God and religion doesn't automatically make you a Christian, you know.

I could have seen that one coming... However, there is quite a difference between
                Oppression is the holy law
                In God I distrust
In time His monuments will fall
                Like ashes to dust
Is war and greed the masters plan?
The Bible's where it all began
                Its propaganda sells despair
                And spreads the virus everywhere

                (Cult- slayer)
and the lyrics I posted before... But you're right, mentioning God doesn't make it Christian... but the new album does have a more Christian message, compared to the previous ones.
not that means a lot, anyway...

by the way, you do seem to know rather a lot about music, or metal to be more specific.. How come?

It is my duty as a Christian to have a good working knowledge of all the Devil's works, in order that I may better combat them. Buddhist philosophy, the doctrines of the medieval Catholic Church and grindcore all share a common origin in Satan, and it is vital to be familiar with them all if one wishes to challenge their hold on impressionable young minds.

I don't think they're suppose to look happy. It's a part of the show to look scary and non happy. Some people somehow find it entertaining (like me).

I'm not too familiar with the concept of not only looking ugly but also being miserable too.
I think they need the Love and Light of Jesus in their lives.

Can you explain the "entertainment" value?

I've been looking for something unique for a long time and now I've finnaly found it! Also... if you would start listening to music that has Satan is there theme, would you not be a true christian anymore or what? Also that band there... I think they look "geeky".(?)
