When atheists say, "Think for yourself," do they not realize how hypocritical they are? I know you can't be an "atheist" unless you build a worldview based entirely on lies, but surely even God-haters as dopey as them can see what they really mean is, "Think like me."
As it never occurred to them that we thought for ourselves when we first picked up a King James Bible and then thought for ourselves that Salvation seems like exactly what we want for eternity?
We get it, atheISN'Ts! You want to brainwash us into your Darwin-worshiping cult! Sorry, it's not going to work because we do think for ourselves, and we think Jesus is Lord.

You are making a typical atheist mistake. You're going by what "seems" wrong rather than what IS wrong, based on God's Holy Word. God created everything you see around you, so doesn't it stand to reason that He should decide these things? Without God, who is to decide what is right and wrong?

I happen to be a Godless Scumbag Heathen. And I am not at all ashamed to say that I envy those who can find spirituality with a religion such as the Christianity that the members of this board have found in such rich deposits.

I believe it is in human nature to doubt, to question, to use logic to understand the world around them. You may call it the Devil's workings, yet I call it logical, simple, romantic even.

If I should be allowed to redirect this topic on a more self-opinionated note; I shall say that as a personal philosophy...I will believe anything, provided that it is first beautiful. And how can an amateur poet such as myself not see the romance in a God-Like figure protecting the ideal of goodness and justice in the world. But then again, is it not also reasonable to say there is a beauty in the void? Imagine a world with no such protector, no such symbol to guide the world into peace and harmony. Would it not be the pinnacle of poetry to see people become these perfect creatures without the help of the divine? Or the opposite, either will do and amount to the same level in my romantic standards.

I believe any christian can sympathize with godless heathens if they only look to appreciate their own god. Think of it, how better to appreciate the existence of a God then to imagine a world without.

Friend, to be honest, I didn't understand a word of that. You sound a bit like "Monsieur Smart Ass" to me.

Without God there would be no goodness, as we wouldn't know what goodness constitutes. We wouldn't know what justice is, if we didn't know whom God likes to smite and toss into the lake of fire. We wouldn't even know we are supposed to hate our parents if it was not for Him. Glory!

Simpler terms - Person says that something is wrong, said person does it even though they said it was wrong

Example - Person: Don't hit me it is mean -- Person 1 then hits Person 2

Atheists and Agnostics try to sift through what's "right" and "wrong" for themselves. They don't rely on one book or leader to define for them what their values are.

But there can be atheists and agnostics who agree with you on many things...the inspiration for the shared beliefs might just come from a different place is all.
