I see your point that Australia's weather could be seen as similar to 'Hell'. It was very hot when I visited and I must say that the faith was certainly lacking - taking it from one who lives there I'm sure you would have a better opinion. However I don't think God mentioned Australia in the Bible or in fact in any holy text - and to so viciously condemn a country as a pimple is not particularly constructive. Why would NZ be considered a pimple?

...anyway, a barbie is a BBQ. The seven points on each star represent the seven states/territories and the Southern Cross is pretty much the most recognizable constellation in the sky. It even has two guiding stars pointing to it and sailors used it to navigate a course through the seas. Also, it is normally on its side (from where I live, at least).
(if you don't count the vikings that visited earlier but weren't believed upon returning to their home country)
