Hello forum.
While browsing for some religious images I happened to stumble upon your website and felt it would be interesting to join and participate.
I happen to be what you would refer to as an atheist, meaning having no belief in anything supernatural, neither ghosts nor gods.
I do however have a great interest in anything regarding people and culture, not mention the psychology of humans and how the world, and the universe, works. I have no scientific education but I enjoy studying it in my spare time.
When you have grown up in a certain environment and maybe acquired a certain set of beliefs, or values, it can be tremendously hard to understand how other people can hold other beliefs. Yet I believe we can all agree that if you teach a child something, he will grow up to think of it as normal. Muslims kneel towards Mekka 6 times a day simply because it is normal for them, even though you (and I) look at it and frown.
So since there is now an atheist sitting around here, feel free to ask him anything.
If you wonder how one becomes an atheist, how I view the world, how I explain (or am unable to explain) the great riddles of our lives and existence.
And if you happen to be completely uninterested, make sure you have a great day and get to make up for the time I wasted.
