Can Cheddar be TOO sharp? (Or too old?)

OK, we're bound to get LOTS of different opinions on this topic. You might as well chime in, though, with your own opinion.

Re: Can Cheddar be TOO sharp? (Or too old?)

They have this insanely sharp cheddar at the general store in Southwick, Ma. its the only cheese they dont offer samples of because if they opened it up they would drive the customers away. I guess it stinks really bad. I was too afraid to buy it so i went with the old horseradish cheddar standby. Southwick cheddar is super yummy..
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Myself, I go for good old traditional Velveeta, made by that grand old American company, Kraft©. That's about as racy as I get. That "sharp" stuff is wild, so I hear.

        Pastor Zeke,

I can understand you wanting to hang in there with Kraft but stay away from processed cheese. It's about as real as Al Martin's police badge.

For grocery store cheese, Vermont sharp white is hard to beat!

Yes, what is it with this forigen cheese nonsense? Aren't our hard working cheese makers good enough for us. What's next, French cheeses, ins't Chedder in France?

Neither Velveeta nor American cheese are true cheeses - they're cheese flavored products.

And why in the hell would you need real cheese when you can produce something that tastes just like it for a lot less money? Are you on another one of your anti-capitalist rants again?

Because where I live, "cheese" is nothing but foul runny snot with a life of its own, posessed by demons, and smelling like an old shoe that just farted in a Catholic church.

I've tried it once, and the neighbours complained about the puke in their bed of roses. I argued that I never left my own garden.

Most cheese is the work of Satan. Have you ever noticed how people grin when they have to say "cheese" for the photo?

It looks like semtex, and it tastes like semtex past its expiry date.

I often have dreams about being attacked by an army of Brie soldiers, fighting side by side with Roquefort knights. I can assure you that the smell stays in my nose long after I woke up.
                    Psalm 81:10:
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Brother Nobar, I'm sure that after all the paste she has no doubt eaten in her life, chalk would be a step up.
