Thunder, you are a prime example of how silly some atheists are. It's common sense we didn't evolve from monkeys or anything silly like that. Everything has a creator. The universe is a design, therefore it has a designer.

And oh I know the definition. What I did was a threat, not assault. I know of situations in which you cops needed evidence that an attack was gonna be made even though a threat was made to indicate it. Wanna know what your fellow officers response was? "we need to actually see it taking place to make an arrest, we just don't have enough evidence to go on besides words"

And guess what happened? That threat was proceeded as said and your fellow officers looked like dopes. The law is inadequate. It has too many inconsistances, letting rapists go, letting murderers go, letting mob bosses go, what a perfect system you got!

THIS is where you show your true ignorance of the law.

Assault: "A threatened or attempted physical attack by someone who appears to be able to cause bodily harm if not stopped" (wordnet.princeton.edu, see even liberals know the definition!)

So if you weren't completely uneducated you would have known that assault and threats are the same thing in the eyes of the law. Threatening to beat somebody up is assault, and threatening to shoot somebody with a gun is assault with a deadly weapon and so on. So you could be taken to court right now for making threats and be charged with assault. That simple. But then again you're SO smart you already knew that. Oh wait. You didn't.

Do you think we see every rape? Yet rapists get prosecuted anyway. Do we see every robbery? No, but they get prosecuted too. If we have enough reasonable evidence (such as written statements, ahem) or eyewitnesses (people who saw your written statement) then it's a different story.
