Why would God disapprove of us following all of His commandments to the letter? Whether or not you believe in God does not change the fact that if there is a God (which there is), then He would most certainly be pleased with us and send Godmockers like you to Hell. See, the Bible says in numerous places that there is a Hell.

Your conception of what God is and what God likes is based completely on your own personal mindset and has nothing to do with His Word.

I am just joining this thread, and thus I will not read through the whole thread. My name is Patrik, and I am here as a representative of the Facebook® page I co-administer.

Henceforth I will try to be as objective as possible, and I will point out any and all fallacious arguments I see. Please note that I will argue fact from the best of my knowledge, and it is not necessarily true that I will be able to find sources. I do feel it's safe to assume that all the reasons provided in the original post have already been proven to be fallacious, if not, I would like to know about it. And I do know that since the original post is challenging my opinion, I am the one supposed to make a defence here, but I would like to challenge anyone to point out one reason for why a position of atheism is wrong, that isn't fallacious.

Atheism is wrong because without God, you have no basis for morality. In an existence without God, raping people and killing babies is exactly as moral and just as acting in accordance with Biblical guidelines.

I believe that, form an evolutionary standpoint, morals would develop naturally. Seeing as I believe we evolved from a common ancestor to apes, I believe that we are indeed animals. Basically:
If we didn't have morals, and did go around raping children and killing each other, we'd all die out pretty soon. Only societies with morals would be able to survive. This is where the monkeys come in. You say that monkeys have no soul, so they must not have morals. If this where true, monkeys would rape their young, and be ripping each others' heads off. Also, if monkeys and animals lacked morals, we'd see NO recognizable traits of positive morality. (positive morality is where an action, rather than a lack of action (lack of action=passive morality), is considered moral). We do, however, see this.
