Is Jesus Able to Do ALL Things?

    Can Jesus Do Anything?

I mean ANY thing. According to the TV, we have children in hospitals across the county with leukemia and other life-threatening illnesses. We have children in Shriner's Hospitals offering us adorable blankets if we donate $19 per month so they can regrow limbs.

People are starving in 3rd world countries unless I send just 30 cents per day to the organization that, for some reason, hasn't just moved them out of the area. You mean to tell me someone hasn't prayed to Jesus about these things?

Dogs live in conditions that are deplorable to say the least - and all I have to do is give monthly and receive an ugly orange t-shirt and all will be well. Jesus doesn't do anything there, either.

Sounds like a reasonable conclusion not to believe in God, doesn't it?

    ROFL

NO! God spoke to me today during one of those Shriner commercials where a new kid arrives and the stalker with the blanket comes to "show him around" - yeah, right - he's a miniature molester trying to get the new kid away from everyone else and show him that he's never leaving there.

God said "If these people had not sinned, their children would be enjoying life as a whole person right now. Save your money. If I have to deform a few kids or kill off some scraggly mutt to get people's attention, I'll do it. It's worth it to save their souls." I had to shout AMEN to the rooftops. The next time one of these commercials come on, don't feel guilty for not sending money. Praise God that He has a reason for everything. Send that money to the church instead. All the adorable blankets and t-shirts in the world (and pictures of a dog you've saved) are worth NOTHING compared to a human soul. Oh, I love Jesus.
    Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.
    Amen and Amen

Re: Is Jesus Able to Do ALL Things?

Thank you for your moving testimony, Brother Larry. I would only like to add, that there are two types of advertisements using cute-looking suffering kids on tv. One type is for hospitals, and your excellent post covers the reasons why God-fearing Christians should NOT be sending money to those.

However, the other type of commercials use cute-looking dirty kids shot on a background of third-world slums. Based on my personal experience in Christian missions to Ungodly South America, the child actors performing in these commercials are not just some random poor kids (whose suffering is totally justified as you mention). They belong to Godly Christian families, they do not actually live in slums which are used as background, but their churches certainly deserve to keep receiving that money because they are Godly Christian churches.

So, I just want all of my Brothers and Sisters to keep in mind that, when you consider sending money to one of these Christian-based charities which show desperate-looking kids in desperate-looking conditions, that the money you send is NOT wasted on some undeserving starving heathen children, but goes directly to the coffers of Christian churches.
God created fossils to test our faith.

Re: Is Jesus Able to Do ALL Things?

      Sister B,

I'm all for filling the coffers of the churches that worship JESUS in spirt and in truth. That's why I'm starting a NEW charity:

Brother Larry's Keep the Children Safe and the Church Revived!

Yes, BLKTCSATCR will ensure that pastors everywhere always have enough funds to send the Word of God into the world - even where it's not wanted! I am asking that the donations be sent to me personally, then I will distribute them as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob directs me. I'm not in competition with these other charities - it's just that as a True Christian(TM), I feel I am better qualified to determine where Jesus' money goes.

Oh, I can see the smile on God's Face even now. Glory!
