  • Seeking Advice for the Lovelorn

    Dear Christian Help Forum:

I'm asking for a friend. He is a wonderful man, very intellligent, well-built, educated, and a True Christian™. He is devastated to hear that someone who was once semi-flirting with him - well, she used emojis to make him think - well, anyway, this woman practically threw herself at him and it took invoking the Blood of Jesus to keep her away, sort of.

She has just announced that she has a passing interest in another man to the point that she's considering being his bride. As you can imagine, this leaves my friend sobbing in a fetal position - so unfair, and her behavior is so unladylike. My friend is very involved in ministry and has a professional practice in a field I won't mention because it would identify him.

How can he convince her not to leave him like this? I mean, they weren't together or anything and the last emoji () was months ago, but still. A man gets hooked and it's all over.

I want to stop him from going to the wedding and screaming out when the pastor asks if anyone has just cause to believe the couple should not be wed - so please help. I am sorry I can't name names because it would be embarrassing for him. Apparently she has no heart.

I don’t know how to thank everyone for the outpouring of advice. My friend is so grateful.

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.

      Beloved Brother,

Instead of worrying about your friend (remember that everything that happens is God's Will), you should be happy that the lady in question has found her True Love™!
God created fossils to test our faith.

You can’t be a Christian if you don’t believe the Old Testament.
Jesus is impolite. Deal with it.
Jesus is xenophobic and so should we.
Sanctity of Life is NOT a Biblical Concept.
      Biblical view on modern-day slavery.
The Immorality of the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights."

Brother Larry, you should tell your friend that the woman in question clearly was not meant to be his wife and that he will find one when God wills it. Your friend should remember Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. Everything happens in God's time. I hope this helps.

          My friend is inconsolable.

Jesus Himself must be frowning. I can't help but think this Enrique Henry or whatever his name is - perhaps Adolph - is living a double life, something my friend would never do.

I ask for your prayers for this well-educated, ex-papist fellow. His little light shines in the darkness of sin as he leads men to Christ. This is the thanks he gets. So sad.

          So sad indeed.

I shoud not be the one saying this, but men from South America are found to be irresistible for women of the North Hemisphere. Even brave, masculine men have doubts when they come to this places. Do you remember your trips to this part of the world, Brother Larry? You were tempted many, many times, but you fell down to your knees, prayed and found confort in God's word.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

I do indeed recall the time spent on my knees and the glorious feeling those moments bring to mind. I thank you, brother.

You are confused, Brother Larry. Adolfo, that's Enrique's younger brother. I've never actually seen him, I think he oversees the agricultural operations in the jungle.
