While this does not affect citizens of Freehold because no one here is sick, there are circumstances where there are not enough hospital beds or medical staff to take care of all the incoming sick people. When that happens, who should be left to die and who should receive aggressive and life saving treatment?

Landover Baptist is the go-to institution for decisions like this. We could even loan a few of our pastors to New York City to help in evaluation and to make decisions.

I'm not trained like our Pastors in ethics or theology but as a layman I can make a few observations. First, lets look at what kind of people are needed to Make America Great Again. The attributes of our current leader, President Trump, are white, educated, wealthy and with a pronounceable name. That provides decision makers about a group with highest priority.

Most of the time, incoming patients circle a symbol for their faith. Decision makers can take a glace at that when they are busy going from patient to patient. If the symbol for Christian, "C", is circled along with the symbol for Protestant, "P", that is trigger for thumbs up. Hints of cohabitation could be the opposite.

Perhaps others have observations that could help medical personnel make decisions on the fly to save our most important Americans.

I do not think that man should interfere with God's Divine Plan™. People die for good reason. It is perfectly natural for God to dispose of the weak and infirm. Though I also think we should help the poor and non-believers and their misery.

An interesting read, Mr. Mayor. The gist of it seems to be that triage is bad and that all lives matter: "Each of us, even in our fallen state, bares the indelible image of our divine Creator, which means each and every human being is different in kind, not merely degree, from the rest of creation and must be recognized and treated with sacred, reverential value."

It just sounds like liberal trash talk, but read on: "If the criteria used in triage take value points away from anyone purely based on their age or their lack of some cognitive or physical skills, then it is founded on a pagan value system and must be rejected with vigor and fought in court if necessary."

Indeed, Brother Toole. You would think that this is the one point where Christians could agree with liberals, even though for very different reasons. The liberals worship Darwin and his idea of "survival of the fittest." In modern capitalist society, the fittest are those who can afford healthcare. The coronavirus hits the poor people the hardest, thus trimming out those who are the least fit. As an added bonus, more deaths among poor people mean there is less poor people in the society, truly a win-win!

Yet the liberals cannot even take that win and keep complaining.

Lowlifes are the people who should be last in receiving healthcare if there is a shortage. Just as an example, atheists would fall under that term. Homers, of course, fit the definition as well. We are LBC can help classify people coming in for medical treatment and would be especially good at figuring out who the lowlifes are--they can wait.

In the medical profession, they're called bronze tier team members. You can think of it like tithing but to a pagan god instead of the real God. Fortunately Brother Trump has seen the mistake in offering such plans and has created an even lower tier that does not have any minimum standards. I've read there are a lot of brown skinned people who work at the meat packing plants in Iowa coming down with the virus. Hospital administrators need to remember their bosses are white males who could become ill also. Our advice here at LBC would be to save back some ventilators just in case the owners/bosses need them.

Thank you, Sister Mitza. I did a little more research about who works at meat processing plants. Large numbers of them are Mexican.

So, if there are limited healthcare equipment and beds, here is what officials are up against. Those of us who like bacon could get sick and need hospital beds. We might compete with those who cut up and package the bacon. From what we know about these two groups, it seems obvious health care should go first to those of us who like bacon. We are doing workers in the processing plants a big favor by buying it.

Why oh why would anyone "remaining on the job" require paid leave or disability assistance? I don't get it. How can they be on leave (paid or otherwise) and on the job at the same time? Additionally if they crope across the border or wriggled underneath, wouldn't they know they'd left the protections of law behind?

Say if I made a black balloon and flew over to Vladivostok one night. Landed. Paid off the authorities to work behind the gasworks (selling freesias, say) and the gasworks blew up. Well, I wasn't really there was I? Either I could step forward and be arrested for overstaying my (nonexistent) visa (which I could have gotten by applying for one but didn't) or I could go back where I came from and apply for a visa there or go somewhere else and pretend to be (or actually be) a refugee and apply for a visa there. No. I snuck in, leaving my mother's fatherland to its fate, hooked into the black economy or worked elsewhere by lying and if I wasn't lying I'd have had the benefits aforementioned.

The Governor of Freehold's state, Iowa, needs our help right now. She made a big theological mistake yesterday. I don't how someone in her high office who not know how to prioritize the goings on in Iowa. She said saving lives of people has the same priority and economic success:

Our recovery is contingent upon our ability to protecting both the lives and livelihoods of Iowans. We can't prioritize on over the other. We must prioritize both to move forward.

She is wrong. Helping those of us who own and run businesses make money is the first priority. If members of the public are living in sin and catching the virus it is of no concern to state government or anyone else.

I wish she would consult with Pastor Zeke before she makes these ridiculous statements about the state's priorities.

Events surrounding the Corona virus are moving fast and we at Landover Baptist need to be at the forefront of coming decisions. All predictions are that in late 2020 and early 2021 a preventive vaccine will be available at least in limited supply.

The question then will be, what moral and ethical principles should be followed in deciding who will receive the first vaccines and who will have to wait and be at risk?

The link promotes the idea health care workers should get the vaccine first. I don't think this is a good application of moral and ethical thinking. Do all heath care workers support conservative and Christian-based politics? Will all health care workers be screened to weed out deep sinners like homosexuals? No one seems to have a handle on the ethical and moral principles involved.

We are Landover Baptist are fortunate to have the protection of Jesus. He will not let the disease harm us. But, when it comes to the rest of society Landover Baptist is in a unique position to provide guidance on who should receive the first doses and who should have to wait.

You know, I've heard people say that laws or government policies shouldn't be based on "religion" (as they call it) but represent the wishes of the governed concerning what sort of society they want to live in.

The Bible explains what's wrong with that. One society for example thought they'd like to live somewhere with a bricks and mortar conduit all the way up. This was after the world's population had recovered following a previous catastrophe brought on by miscegenation and general corruption as recorded in Genesis chapter 6. We pick up the account following a genealogy of survivors.

Genesis 10:32 – 11:4
These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood. And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. Had they consulted with God they would have learned that such a living environment did not meet with His approval. Even if only their president did so and everyone else paid no attention, the scheme would never have been funded. Some of them may have followed crackpot cults or rubbed themselves with special [= overpriced] oils or gazed at crystals to absorb "energies" but their opinions would have been disregarded, in their own interests, and the tower would never have been built. But that didn't happen.

God is very plain speaking here. The subject He addresses is the sharing of knowledge. Only by sharing information can ingenuity be developed, with one person's idea (phlogiston for example) discussed by others and considered and then either rejected—including by the person who first proposed the idea in the light of new information—or confirmed and developed. (In my example the idea of phlogiston was rejected and an alternative, oxygen, was proposed.) But all of that requires mutually intelligible language. And if you have that the possibilities are endless.

God knew all that.

God acted.

Is medical knowledge any different from towers to Heaven? It's not "religion" when God sends plague or tornado. It's simply fact. To defy God is to bring trouble but in order to know what God expects you need to know God. It is therefore important to preserve those who are attuned to His voice.

Mayor, first things first, thanks for the quite decent Mouton Rothschild 1953 magnum that arrived at the Flint Mansion yesterday. Of course the renovation of the Mayor's office will get my blessings!

Then, onto this vaccine debacle. Vaccines cause autism and demon possession. Almost no-one is safe. But who is? Two words: We are! By the Grace of Jesus we are protected against any side-effects. Thus it is reasonable that we offer ourselves as volunteers to get the vaccines first so that the rest of the Nation, the sinners, can thereafter take them at least a bit more safely, spiritually that is. We must volunteer as a sign of our goodwill and selflessness! This includes my 14-yo Filipino houseboys.

That makes perfect sense, Pastor Zeke. We at Landover Baptist are leaders in the war against sin and must be 100% strong and healthy. Satan can be defeated. Being a political and business insider like you are I know we will be first in line for these and all other government services.
