Let us see... When was the last time a Nobel Prize Laureate did something important for the world? Just last year Harald zur Hausen was awarded the Nobel Prize for discovering the importance of the Papilloma viruses in the development of cervical cancer, a discovery that has the potential to save thousands. While you do nothing but "chain people to dark basements for months so they have a reason to write stupid poetry".

A goth is nothing more than a whiny twit who dresses stupidly to express "individualism" (while his little friends dress EXACTLY THE SAME), thinks he's better than everyone else with his presumed "superior" intellect and chops his body while failing to actually commit suicide.

You really seem to know and wish to protect the goth subculture you claim not to be a part of. You also seem to forget you are on a Christian forum where we practice the Word of God, not goth.

I have to say that after reading some of the things on this forum, I am shocked and amused. I am shocked because, primarily your information on goths is wrong. Now I am not trying to disprove your belief, and while I may not agree with what you have to say, to the death I will defend your right to say it. Ok first of, several of my friends, including my own girlfriend, are gothic and they are the most peaceful, fun-loving kids I know. Goth is not about worshipping Satan/Lucifer/Devil etc. Those people are called Satanist/Luciferian/Devil worshipper, not goth. The goth movement strung out of the punk movement of the 70s you are correct. However, AC/DC, Marilyn Manson, etc are most certainly not goth. AC/DC is classic rock, Manson is Shock Rock, and Lil Wayne is rap. Goth band are bands like Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, and The Cure. Secondly, there's no set "sect" of goth such as "homers" etc. A true goth can be anyone. A goth is anyone who a) listens to goth music b) is a free thinker (they don't just accept something because that's the way it is). Third, goths are very caring people. When my grandmother died, my goth girlfriend sat and hugged me when I would start to cry. Fourth, all goths don't do drugs or drink. At my school all the kids that do drugs are either the popular hotheads or the guys on the varsity football team. And as for poetry, so what if they write poems about something you all consider "weird".
