Today after finishing my household chores I went on to Pinterest.com (for the men reading this post Pinterest is a website that women go on to plan weddings they hope to have in the future to a good Christian man, name and plan out the all children they hope to have someday, as well as gather the yummiest crockpot recipes around and most importantly post pictures and quotes about how much we love Jesus. Anyways while on Pinterest looking up inspirational quotes and pictures of our Lord, I ran across this picture. While my first instinct was to report for blasphemy and heresy for depicting our Lord in such a manor... I took a closer look at the picture and noticed something... Jesus was holding a "Book of Mormon!" I'm so confused what this picture is trying to depict. Is this picture saying: Mormons believe in a make believe Jesus? If so this picture is not blasphemous at all and there is no need to report it. Or is it: Jesus is showing the world "The Book of Mormon" is make believe... And that too is not blasphemous, so it too should not be reported. I ask for your assistance to please help me depict what this picture is saying so I know what I should do.

I too am baffled by this picture. Jesus is quite obviously the odd one out in the picture full of make believe creatures as He is the only one who really exists. However, as you rightly point out, Jesus would never promote the book of Mormon as legitimate as it is a heretical abomination.

The thing to not lose sight of is that the picture was made by a person. That person will have brought some sort of agenda to his work and is probably trying to promote that agenda. I know it's hard to understand but some people hate Jesus. The fact Jesus really exists and is accounted for in the only really true book ever threatens these people. The person who made the picture is probably some kind of anal pervert who wants to molest small boys. The implication that Jesus is so false He might even be the one made up by the Mormons is just spiteful.

Also some people really really believe in some of the other things in the picture. Perhaps the person who made the picture is trying to wrongly say that seeing as Jesus is so real you should therefore believe in the other things as well. This is immediately false because, unlike unicorns and talking donkeys, these crazy things are not mentioned in the Bible.

If I were you I would just ignore this picture as it is aimed at women in their weaker moments just after a hard day's cleaning while their husbands are out at work. This is when their brains are at their most vulnerable to ideas that are not their husband's. I'm sure your husband would just give you a few smacks and destroy the picture if you showed it him and direct you back to the Bible.

It looks to me like Jesus, the greatest teacher of all time, is teaching us about make believe. Everyone knows that big foot, aliens, Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, the Easter bunny and leprechauns don't exist. I have to assume that his face is distorted to show that the Jesus portrayed in the book of moron is also make believe. The artist is doing good factual Christian work here.

What boggles my mind is how people can believe in make believe stuff when there isn't any evidence to support their existence.

As an amateur art critic, I believe this is the message the artist is trying to convey; that there is only one true way to God, through Jesus Christ as set forth in the King James version of The Good Book.

Although I applaud the effort, the artists rendering would could been more authentic if it included a picture of Mohammad. I know how upset those sand monkeys get when their false god is portrayed, but someone has to wake them up and get them ready for the Hell fire they will surely face.

It would have been a nice touch if, in the background, their was a black board with a scientist explaining evolution to all the other imaginary things, while Jesus stood there with a scolding look on his face.

Thank you for your insiteful wisdom! Im so glad we have such inspired men of God on this forum to help steer the naive weaker sex , like myself*in the proper direction. I am still awaiting our Loving Lord to bless me with a loving Christian man, one who is strong in faith and that can properly reprimand me when neededwith the spankings *you suggested. *Until then I will continue to plan my Christian wedding and gather crockpot recipes on Pinterest so I will be ready when the Lord blesses me!*

Mormons, baptists, all Christian groups follow God and Jesus. But they all seem to love to argue about the finer details. Ok Mormons went the whole hog and just invented their own bible but they are no more misled than the Baptists here who think Jesus wasn't himself Jewish, slain by Roman Legionaries.

Little lady, it truly warms my heart to be in the company of a woman who has been touched by the Lord. God will surely reward you with a master to instruct you on the things your female mind can't comprehend. I don't know of any Christian man who wouldn't take pride in beating you into the submission that the Lord desires for you, I know I would!

Has your father placed an ad in the Christian singles section? Just be sure he includes what female duties you're best at, and your birthing measurements, as he will be able to sell you for more.
