A young man, Otto Warmbier, has been sentenced to 15 years jail in North Korea, for a student prank. He removed a cheap propaganda banner from his hotel corridor to take as a gift to his Christian girlfriend in Ohio.


Set this young man free. He's not a criminal, just another persecuted Christian. He engaged in a little hijinks no doubt. You got your cheap banner back, now let him go.

I just read in the news this retarded boy got released and died. Is it possible that he is in the arms of Jesus right now? The whole story here reads like an enigma. When the North Koreans returned him word has it he was a vegetable, but to my way of thinking you had to be some kind of vegetable to go there in the first place. I'm not aware that North Korea had any of those oriental dating sites on the internet, or that they were promoting some of those rotating Korean baskets in their hotels.

He was accused to stealing some kind of propaganda banner to bring back home, and there were past unsuccessful efforts to get the North Koreans to release him. Maybe Obama was afraid that a poster of some porcine chink would become more popular in this country than those Democrat posters of Che Guevara.

Here is one of those posters, and it's hard to tell what all that gobbledy gook means - perhaps is says "15 years hard labor for stealing this poster" and he wasn't able to read it. On the other hand, the people in that poster all seem to be holding some kind of book - and there's a remote chance they might be Bibles.

Yes it is very hard to understand the finer points of Chink theft laws. 15 years hard labor seems harsh but then again liberals are usually soft on crime so it's a mixed bag. Otto is at peace now. Yes he died of brain damage but he scored a moral victory against China by avoiding 14 years of his sentence! I imagine him in heaven with his new friends looking down and laughing at us all, joke's on you guys!

You just DON'T DO those sorts of idiotic things in a hostile totalitarian state like North Korea, or officially, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, most especially if you are a citizen of the United States, a country that is an inimical and enemy state to North Korea, and vice versa. Common sense would tell you don't muck around in a place like North Korea.


I would have left the stupid bastard in North Korea and serve out his time! That is if he could survive the full 15-year term with hard labor in a North Korean prison labor camp, which I sincerely doubt. Chances are he would have been dead within a matter of months!
