Pray for Will Smith and Chris Rock/Kid Rock

1. We pray that Chris Rock (previously known as Kid Rock) understands that God has let him off easy. Chris Rock made a joke at the expense of a bald person, and the Bible teaches us that God typically responds to bald jokes by sending wild animals to kill and mutilate children by the dozen. Chris Rock should read 2 Kings 2:23-24:

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

2. Will Smith may have displayed manly virtue by responding to a joke with a slap, but we pray that he remembers that his wife is bald because God is punishing her for her sins.

"Who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?" -- Exodus 4:11

Why? As a punishment for failing to obey the Old Testament's laws:

"The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart." --Deuteronomy 28:28

King David, a good Christian role model from the Bible, hated cripples so much he wanted them killed:

"And David said on that day, Whosoever ... smiteth ... the blind that are hated of David's soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house." --2 Samuel 5:8

Because Will Smith's wife has a blemish, she is profane, and should not approach a church altar: Leviticus 21:17-23 . Now, the Oscar ceremony is not technically a church service, but when you look at the level of idolatrous worship celebrities receive, perhaps the same rules should apply.

3. Lest Mrs. Smith feel vindicated, we pray that she understand that she needs to get right with God, so her hair grows back. The Bible teaches us that if a woman is bald or otherwise has short hair, she looks like a man. God abhors this:

1 Corinthians 11:15, Deuteronomy 22:5 .

The only one who has behaved inappropriately here is "The Rock" fellow. Not for his insensitive slur against a transvestite but for not following Matthew 5:39. I see no evidence of loving, blessing or doing of good perpetrated toward the taller black male suspect. It's a stretch to imagine him praying, so I will pray for both of them. Dear Lord, when will the gang violence end? Thank Yourself no bystanders were hurt. Amen.

Dear Lord, when will the gang violence end? Thank Yourself no bystanders were hurt. Amen.

If only Chris Rock had been armed, he would've been able to stand his ground and shoot Will Smith to death prior to being attacked. Or if Smith had had a gun, he could've shot Rock from the audience and gained satisfaction without the possibility of being stopped by security. And of course the risk of two black men holding their pistols sideways "gangsta style" spraying bullets with reckless abandon would be negated if everyone else in the audience was packing. Really, besides the tendency of darkies to chimp out, what this incident illuminates is the need for greater access to firearms.

The crazy thing about it is that, as black Chris Rock should well know, NO negress is capable of growing her nappy fur out more than an inch or two. That's why they all shave and wear weaves made from imported Indian hair. All the "sistahs" have alopecia, so the joke is about as funny as "Yooo, we sho nuff got sum air conditionin all up in this biznatch!" or "Dawg, wuddup wif all dem lectric lights an sheeit, gnomesayin?"

I am not sure about this. The video shows that Chris Rock was smited on the left cheek. This could mean that either Matthew 5:39 is irrelevant or that Will smited Chris on the right cheek before and Chris just did what Jesus told him to do. Or it could just be that Will just slaps like a little girl.

Paul is specific, and therefore God is specific, that dissatisfaction with any hairstyle has a remedy.

Now clearly in this situation there was no shame in not being covered. At no time have I ever seen an "Oscars" (but sometimes photography appears on placards) and although nothing human is ever 100% my never seeing one in the future is about as close as you could get. "Clothing" in those photos is clearly a euphemism so couldn't hairstyles, for whatever reason unsatisfactory, be shaved off without naysaying God's revelation in Scripture?

I will admit, it was pretty brave of Mr. William Smith to slap this guy in the face. While I'm pretty confident I could mop the floor with him (for the Lord is with me, Matthew 19:26) it would be a knock-down, drag-out slugfest, and I'd rather just have him looking up the barrel of my .45 (in self defense of course). Smith had no way of knowing he wouldn't face retaliation. Would've been pretty embarrassing to slap Chris Rock like a little girl only to get punched in the nose and then repeatedly stomped in the ribs and shoved offstage, which of course he would have had coming.
