Father pays the bills, father sets the rules. If the father decides that pokemon is not allowed in HIS household, then that should be respected. If you don't like the rules of your father, why are you eating HIS food and enjoying shelter of HIS house?

This just really shows how ungrateful some of today's youth really is: it's all take, take, take but once a bit of respect is cordially requested, it's "NO WAY DUDE! MY FRIGGING **CARDS** ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU". Show your father some love some time, sheesh.

Or maybe you disrespect your father because he's not a strong male figure. That could explain the sexual confusion.

Maybe the choice will be easier for you once we fix things in November 2012 when atheism will be made illegal.

We may be a little late with this one, but let us do our best to do something about this monstrosity called Pokemon. Allow me to point out several factors that make this anti-Christian:

• Espouses a neo-pagan worldview -- this is anti-Christian by definition
• Makes children obsessed with "collecting them all" and keeps their attention away from the Bible and homeschool classes
• Creates confusing gender identity issues
• Creates the illusion of "power" based on collective cards instead of through prayer and surrender to God
• Generates aggressive reactions when father throws all cards in the trash
• Encourages retardation: studies show that after a child starts with Pokemon, its IQ drops by 3 to 5 points within a month
• It's a stepping stone to other role-playing games with even more Satanic themes

Please, Brothers and Sisters, let us pray that this evil game gets banned and ALL Pokemon cards ever collected will be BURNED!

Who knows what children might see in those horrid, god forsaken forms of entertainment. I've got another idea! Lets try to live as we did 2000 years ago, it would be awesome wouldn't it? Well, I've got bad news, the world progresses. Things aren't as it used to be. NOBODY WILL BAN POKEMON. IT MAKES MONEY! also nobody will ban tv, the internet, or this site. So please, if you want your kids to grow up playing scrabble and praying all day is up to you. Though I really would feel really bad for them Teach your kids to differentiate their tv shows from reality and that's it; no need to make anybody suffer.

TV, the internet and this forum have all been created by Christians for the purpose of spreading the Christian message. Pokemon was created to corrupt Christians and potential Christians. That's a big difference.

*Sigh* another child found the address of our forum, huh? I happened to be at Brother Washburn's place the other day and one of his children had a hissy fit just like this! "I *want* to have my dessert taken away" or something along those lines (this was after just a few of his wife's mulberry wines!). It's pure petulance is what it is. Synopsis

The first thing I would like to announce, is that this entire thread seems incredibly improbable to me. The first reason is that the ministers the church I am a part of would never speak like I've have seen on the posts of all of these "knowledgable" men; however, I do not wish to insult them.

From what I have read, there are more problems with this thread than hell's pits are deep. Mainly, I have noticed that the entire idea is filled with charged language and individual's personal opinions. I thought this was a church forum; is not the Lord Almighty not loving enough that we can show the way kindly and lovingly to children?

From the very beginning, all of this has been about burning children's Pokemon cards because they are the work of the devil. I am not ignorant, I will not say that they cannot corrupt children; however, it is YOU that will allow them to be corrupted by these "infernal cards" as one on the offensive stance might call them. Therefore, taking these cards and burning them is nothing more than an easier way to take care of this problem.

Heed these words, burning the cards is not wrong. It may, however no be the best option. I know in my heart that no one here enjoys in taking children's happiness way; therefore, I believe that a better option would be to either lovingly explain to the children your own ideals kindly and take the cards to dispose of however you feel fit, or you could be frank with them from the start. A parent knows when his or her own child is being corrupted. If so, then appropriate punishment may be necessary.

I also do question validity of the original arguement and its information, but that is unimportant and it would just be stupid to attack it as anyone can see how you have treated those people.

Finally, I believe that this actually has nothing to do with anything anyone of us has read in this thread. I would like to consider that this began when our initial accuser, I believe it was God=Life, did not necessarilly dislike Pokemon cards. I may consider that he has seen some children arguably corrupted in some way, shape, or form by believably Pokemon cards. In such a case, it is understandable to have such a reaction; however, all of this is never okay. What I have read here is just plain sickening: from religious leaders mouthing off others to non-religious giving their "different" views. It was all a big fight to win.

One must always remember that the arguement is not always about winning.

And as I close, I must confess that I too have collected Pokemon cards at a time. My father and I had a hobby of it when I was young. Contradicting previous accusations though, I have stayed at the top of my classes, religiously active, and they never influenced me to try to degrade others. But none of this was about cards, it was about my parents and other leaders leading me down the path. I only ask that you think of other options. I know that all of you want to represent the Lord the way he should because the world is watching.

I have great news! I just got off the phone with Pete Flaherty, one of Mitt Romney's senior campaign advisors.

Pete understands the threat of Pokemon, and of My Little Porny: Friendship with Benefits, and all that other sick filth targeting our children, and agreed that Mitt will begin promoting a switch to a new ratings service for children's television programs and motion pictures . . . to be handled by none other than the Ladies of Landover! (With help from some wise and learned menfolk, of course.)

Soon, Poke-me-man and My Little Porny will be relegated to the late-night adult cable channels, where such smut belongs!
