So a christian man was disciplining his estranged (read: adulterous) girlfriend over a custody issue. This just shows how unBiblical America has become: according to the Bible the only "custody issue" is which man has custody of the woman - her father, or her husband! So anyway this uppity woman called for the jack-booted thugs of the omnipotent state to interfere with American families. The democrat mayor, instead of siding with the righteous male, sided with the rebellious adulterer.

God punished him swiftly:

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was recovering Sunday morning after beating beaten with a pipe after leaving the Wisconsin State Fair with his family Saturday night...

Barrett and his family were returning to their car when they saw an altercation and heard a woman shouting [women are to use "chaste conversation, coupled with fear." - 1 Peter 3:2-6] that someone should call 911. Barrett began calling 911 when the suspect who had been attacking the woman, ran toward Barrett and began striking him with a metal pipe.

How the hell can you prove this was a christian man clubbing his wife? Have you got ASD?

The woman was being RAPED. In distress, she called for help and as the mayor reached for his phone to call the police, the man ran towards him and started to beat him so that he wouldn't call the police.

Even though your interpretation of this story is completely screwed (No, not everything revolves around religion and its practice), it proves a point I made in another thread. The beating of a woman isn't acceptable in todays society, and if you did beat your wife or 'discipline' her as you say, publicly, you'd probably be arrested - which as the original story says, DID happen. The problem with this forum is that everyone thinks this forum, and this forum alone is the entire world. It's not. It's a tiny insignificant minority caught up with optimistic hopes of being saved by a greater being.

How, I ask you, after all of this damning evidence of your practice being misconduct, can you continue to overlook it and believe you are right. In fact why am I even begging the question? I'm going to get a generic 'because the bible says it's right' bullsh*t answer.

*sigh* maybe one day you'll see that I'm right, although it apparently doesn't seem it now. You're going to be VERY disappointed when you die and fade into nothing.

I suspect the next time that a custody case comes his way, he will consult the KJV1611 before rendering a judgment. There is nothing quite like a purging of the flesh for the purification of the spirit.

And YSF, the man and woman were married in the eyes of God (common law, or biblical marriage). As a married couple, there is no rape, by definition. And when the mayor tried to interfere again, the man used appropriate force to defend his property (his woman).

It is a good thing that you are not a lawyer. You would starve to death.

That was an incredibly hateful thing to say. Why is it that all your atheists are so angry all the time? Christians, as you can see, are the most loving, compassionate folks on earth. We are full of the Love of Jesus! Full of it!
