That would be amazing, by the way. Because no gamer who has posted on this thread has understood the real subject being discussed.
I have read Genesis before, but I doubt many gamers have not read it. (I don't consider myself a serious gamer much anymore due to my exams at the moment). You (Not personally) haven't really mentioned this however and so most people who have came here to argue, came here to argue and not to discuss about the Adam and Eve.

5900 years? I don't think so. You see, this website was created in 1998 and Overwatch is only a year old. This thread has been around for a year, tops!

    Genesis 3:1
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

True Believers™ have been fighting Satan ever since and the battle continues (but not for long; Revelation 22:20).

If people love violence, there's no better source than the Holy Bible! This is the Holy Tale of sin, salvation, giants, crafty harlots, wizard duels, talking beasts, suspense, betrayal, and ultimately redemption. But if it's violence the people want, the Bible does not disappoint!

Consider the many violent episodes in which the LORD unleashes His dramatic Vengeance o'er the peoples who refused to worship Him:
    • Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed by raining fire and brimstone from Heaven (Genesis 19:1-29).
    • Lot's wife turned into a pillar of salt for daring to ignore or forget one random, silly rule (Genesis 19:26).
    • God kills Onan for having the audacity of spilling his seed on the ground (Genesis 38:9-10), which shows us God is watching and judging everything.
    • God kills every man and beast unfortunate to be working in the fields when His Anger boileth over (Exodus 9:22-25).
    • God wants to be remembered forever for the mass murder of little children (Exodus 10:2).
    • Jesus hates the Amalek so much He will blot them from His Holy Memory, and will wage war on them for generations (Exodus 17:14-16).
    • Anyone living in the land the LORD later chose to give to the Israelites were driven out with fear, bees and hornets, before hardening their hearts to fight a battle predestined to damn them all to Hell (Exodus 23:27-30).
Consider the violence reigned upon those who were not Chosen by the LORD above at the hands of those who were:
    • Dinah, the daughter of Jacob, sleeps with her lover before they are betrothed. Her brothers, incensed with the lost of her purity, convince all the men of the town to be circumcised (no small accomplishment considering these were not infants but grown men who agreed), and then killed them while they were hobbling around trying to convince themselves they weren't idiots to have skinned their manhood in the first place (Genesis 34:1-3; 8; 13-15; 24-25; 28-29).
    • God tells the Israelites to make slaves out of their neighbors and their families. The "heathens" and "strangers" are to be their possessions forever (Leviticus 25:44-46).
    • God commands the Israelites to attack their enemies and in return the LORD will make these heathens fall by the sword in epic victories (Leviticus 26:7-8, Deuteronomy 3:3-6; 3:21).
    • Entire cultures are attacked, gold looted, women captured to be sex-slaves. Even Yahweh gets His Holy Share (Numbers 31:2; 7; 9-10; 17-18; 35; 40; 51-52)!
    • God promises His followers will forever be like terrorists to unbelievers (Deuteronomy 2:25)!
Consider the violence that befell those who dared obey the LORD halfheartedly:
    • The Israelites who worried Moses would never come back down from Mt. Sinai angered the LORD by building and worshiping a calf-god that the LORD told Moses to step out of the way so His "wrath may wax hot" and He can "consume them" (Exodus 32:10). He settles for having the sons of Levi( Moses, Aaron, and members of that tribe who were on Team Yahweh to kill every man and his neighbor. This amounted to about 3000 Israelites who were formerly considered "Chosen" (Exodus 32:27-28).
    • Those who were spared were forced to drink the melted down golden calf (Exodus 32:20).
    • This didn't satisfy the blood-lust of the LORD, and more were smited with plague (Exodus 32:35).
    • God promises Divine Terrorism against those who worship inadequately with a number of specific curses, including but not limited to fear, consumption, the burning ague that shall consume the eyes, sorrow, enemies will consume the fruits of one's labors (Leviticus 26:16), falling to enemies (Leviticus 26:17), suffering worse plagues than the Egyptians (Leviticus 26:21), suffering death and pestilence and cruelty at the hands of one's enemies (Leviticus 26:25), bringing such starvation to make one eat their own children (Leviticus 26:29; Deuteronomy 28:53; 56-57), cities ruined (Leviticus 26:31), land turned into desolation (Leviticus 26:32), etc etc etc. To those who hear the Word of God but hark not, they can expect hemorrhoids, sexually transmitted diseases with no cure, madness, blindness and astonishment of heart (Deuteronomy 28:27-28). They can expect to lose things most valuable to them, including their children and their livelihood (Deuteronomy 28:31-32).
    • Jesus kills two of Aaron's sons for offering a "strange fire" before the LORD (Numbers 3:4).
    • Jesus hates lepers, and has no tolerance for them living among His people (Numbers 5:1-4).
    • Believers who complain can expect to get roasted alive (Numbers 11:1-2).
    • The first people who dared suggest God loves and treats everyone equally found they and their entire families Sparta-kicked to Hell when God opened the earth and swallowed them whole (Numbers 16:1, 3, 32), and spontaneously combusted others right there on the spot (Numbers 16:35). The rest of the community rebels were smited with plague (Numbers 16:46-49).
    • Jesus sends snakes out from the shadows to bite and kill believers who complain (Numbers 21:6).
    • Jesus is a jealous God and will think nothing of smiting those who worship another (Deuteronomy 6:15).
Animal lovers will find an entire tome full of violence they will consider cruel and senseless:
    • Noah's first act upon dry land is to sacrifice some of the few existing animals left on the entire planet to the LORD (Genesis 8:20). We can assume Noah and his family never see the LORD coming to eat the food that had been barbecued in His Honor, as no one can see the LORD and live (Exodus 33:20), and so we must assume either the LORD sneaked into camp while everyone was asleep, like Santa, or the animals died simply for the LORD to smell their cooking flesh (Leviticus 1:17).
    • In the Fifth Plague against the Egyptians, God killed all the Egyptian's cattle just to prove a point (Exodus 9:6).
    • God kills them again (Exodus 9:19-20; 12:29).
    • God tells Moses specifically to slaughter animals to spread their blood all over the newly ordained priests (Exodus 29:11-37), knowing full well this blood never did a thing to address their sins (Hebrews 10:4), despite being told this whole process was "most holy" (Leviticus 6:25).
And this is just the Books of Moses! Goodness! We haven't even touched on the dramatic appearance of the angel of the LORD before Ezekiel (Ezekiel 1:1 – 1:28), dancing bones that defy death (Ezekiel 37:1-14), mass circumcision of the enemy (1 Samuel 18:25; 27), killing an innocent family to win a bet (Job 1:12-19), goodness, killing nearly every living thing on the planet when Yahweh woke up with Divine Coyote Arm Syndrome (Genesis 6:6-7)!

And this doesn't even get into the days where Jesus walked the earth, reminding people that Hell awaits them, and that Hell will be like torture (Matthew 22:13) that never lets up (Matthew 13:24; 40-43). We haven't even mentioned the grand violence that John's Revelation reveals! Sinners' blood will flood the cities (Revelation 14:19-20), the oceans and Hell vomiting up the dead (Revelation 20:13), the very stars shall rain from the sky (Mark 13:25), there will be nothing but chaos and evil in the land! Those who look for violence and excitement can find no better resource than the Holy Bible!

    Glory!

Thank you for replying to my post. I had been responding to some stuff about "normal Christians" but the graphic applies just as well to your comments, slightly modified. You referred to the "mainstream" which is similar to "normal" and I've highlighted the normal distribution as seen in the graphic..it appears, inverted, as the horizon above the saddle feature..but the river represents your mainstream rather well so I've coloured that in for you. To continue the imagery a little, as a river flows along it follows the path of least resistance. Is this what you're doing with your life? Are you prepared to challenge ideas you consider wrong? What about ideas you consider harmful? Should those be challenged? And what about new ideas? Where do those come from?

In the lower part of the graphic you can see some contours. These are generally taught to ten- or eleven-year-olds so I'll assume you know what they are. Around the same age we get introduced to Venn diagrams. Notice how the contour lines resemble a number of sets (of ideas, in this discussion) with smaller subsets (of similar but more refined ideas) together comprising a body of ideas or opinions or maybe behaviour. People who enjoy badminton, for instance, are a subset of people who enjoy sport who in turn are a subset of all people. But this brings us to an interesting anomaly. Where do the ideas come from which, in the fulness of time, generate a world for the mainstream to inhabit? As the river flows there are tributaries from other locations feeding in and one such location I've represented with a red question mark ? shown to the right of the saddle in both cases.

One example would be the computer itself. The idea resulting in digital computers came from outside the mainstream. Memory was hardware-limited but mathematical programming overcame those limitations effectively for industrial applications although games remained at about the "PONG" level for some time. The mainstream you refer to only applies to those who actually own computers which in this example is what the river represents. For people not owning computers a different mainstream applies, represented by the red question mark. Or again, anaesthesia; development of anaesthetics was done by people generally considered cranks but the worlds they inhabited were able to feed into a mainstream of people for whom pain, rather than mathematical programming, was the primary consideration. Where on the graphic will future advances come from? We don't know. Jesus was not considered mainstream during His earthly life.

Good thing I have come across this reply to see the blindness of the people here. You are nothing but indoctrinated to worship something that is not there. This is the same where the Native Americans have danced for rain, or the Huns have prayed to the Deer for good hunting luck. Religion is dead … Nothing will bring it back.
Russia experienced enforced atheism for an entire generation. How is that working out today? Apparently, and probably in cities, most people don't spend much time thinking about religious precepts. How is the Orthodox denomination getting along? Quite well. Whether "religious" or "not religious" the Russians identify rather strongly with their denomination and the clergy seem to be gaining influence one way or another. You may disagree with the theology but you can hardly dispute the trend over there, according to the Russian mainstream, which is diametrically opposed to your claim about religion more generally.

Jesus stepped into the human norm, where suffering and doubt prevailed together with false belief systems pretty much as we see today and was persecuted all the way to whipping, anguish and death. His sacrifice triumphed; death was defeated. Hell was overcome. Here at Landover Baptist, the only denomination mentioned in The Bible, we seek to overcome fear with certainty. I've attached an excerpt from the Romish search engine for your reference. Sure, the Orthodox theology just as the mormons or episcopalians or new-age creeds or for that matter cannibals, animists, Lutherans, it's a pretty long list and growing every day and it's all mumbojumbo and they're all on the way to perdition with a generous helping of torture described in The Bible as tooth gnashing (no anaesthetics here) in molten sulphur at a temperature you can look up for yourself where was I? oh yes, Russians want to return to God but have only the best available to them in the post-communist era which falls short of the Scriptural standard. And as they read The Bible certainly they will see the difference. Baptists hold the door open for genuine seekers and Landover holds an open door for you to help in showing The Truth to a lost and dying world.

As you read this you are feeling something I've felt too. I did something about it. You can do something too. But you'll need to step outside the mainstream of your world view and form opinions for yourself. Opinions based on reality. Baptists know that reality exists only in The Bible. To challenge error and governments based on error you'll need facts. It's encouraging to see you're reading The Bible. The Bible shows me where the world went wrong and genuine seekers need to look there first. Cite references; quote The Bible; speak out for reality. I hope this is helpful for you.

Who cares about the Body? Overwatch (among many other games) can kill your SOUL!

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Overwatch is a game made for players who loves accomplishing things like destroying to win... something and they want more because they demand more so developers created bigger things that will keep gamers hyper.

you pretty much can't do anything about it because people LOVES violence well not historically but ACTIONS and ACCOMPLISHMENTS its that hard to ask?

and besides they will respawn back that's why no one is concern about it and if they will not respawn back then everyone will be againts it and bored because its like counter strike... which idk which is worst counter strike or gun shooting moba games?
