[Dr. Anthony J. Toole]

As you know, I'm not a fan of modern art. However this one from urban prankster Banksy caught my eye today.


It expresses a quite complex theme so I'll explain it to the women.



Basically it' a critique of liberal politics - while the spotlight falls on the nurse she is momentarily hoisted aloft, putting her in great danger, while the Big Idiot imagines himself doing the real work. The workers no longer needed lie broken in the trash. Government overreach. Government waste. It's all there.

I've heard of it and - being a feeble female - I fail to understand it, even after reading your post, Brother Toole. Since when is it OK for boys to play with dolls? Why would the Flying Nun be so important for a young boy? What am I missing here?

Look - it's easy, why are you finding it so complicated? The giant boy represents wasteful government.

The dolls are momentary playthings - they don't matter. Don't even think about them. Boring dolls go in the trash. The giant boy only plays with the fun toys. When the nurse doll gets boring she will go in the trash, probably when the new Space Force uniforms come out for the solder doll.

Not that. The opposite. Government is the problem and the toys are... forget about the toys. You can plainly PLAINLY see it in the art for yourself.

It seems I do not. Art is such a hard thing to grasp. It seems so simple but there are so many layers to understand, and it's never what it seems on the surface. Thank you for your attempt to explain it.

That's because God created us feeble minded females as simple help meets for men (Genesis 2:18). We can only do the simple things in life. Art is just beyond our understanding.

Quite right, Mrs. Basilissa. Any art created after let's say the 16th century and before the birth of Jesus Christ is suspect. They may contain dangerous ideas even if you don't understand them.

It's better for ladies like yourselves to help others with their paintings - mixing colors, cleaning brushes, etc. Especially children. That's important art work. Some of the most famous artists used to keep young women around for precisely that reason.

I take it as some young boy being influenced heavily by the lame stream media to be a homer. Notice how he tossed aside Batman in favor of a female nurse to pretend is his favorite superhero. It’s a disgrace and is brainwashing children now more than ever. This artwork is a depiction of how dangerous liberal media has gotten.

The dolls in the trashcan look as their limbs are twisted around. Are they doing homer-sexual things? Is the flying doll with a cross on its chest Jesus coming back to smite them?

I keep looking up into the sky expecting His return any day now.
