I am a gamer, I play many games, be they FPS (first person shooter), strategy or RPG and YET, I still consider myself to high moral values. I will not hurt a person, I would not kill a person, in fact I would say I follow more of your laws than most Christians seem do! I definitely have a good grip on reality, gaming as in no way whatsoever effected my ability to tell what is real and what isn't, unlike some of you obviously.

You may come up with examples like: "Oh, these 2 kids killed someone because of what they saw in a videogame!", and yes, they may well have done, but surely this is such a small percentage the millions that play these games. I would guess that people of this mentality would commit crimes with our without games.

I can bring up MANY more examples of Christianity (and nigh on every other religion) causing much more pain and suffering than these so called "evil" games.

In one of your posts you claim that this game is evil, yet Bob's gun shop is not (page 13, near the bottom). So your saying that a game played for fun is more dangerous than a freaking gun?!?!?! A people can (and do) use guns to kill, I couldn't kill you with this game. I'd be more influenced for the worst if I held a gun than if I played a few hours of Oblivion!

The worst thing is that you claim that these games harm impressionable children, and you are right, they are impressionable. So what do you do?? You take these impressionable children, and you do exactly what you condemn these games for doing, you impression upon them your views, you brain wash them, you give them no chance to see what the world is really like.

I'm assuming this post will be deleted; I hardly expect you to read my views and actually think about it, that much is obviously from your already closed minded approaches to life. I very much hope you will read this though and do not delete it, I always like to have a chat with your kind of people .

Wow, for people who claim to be the leaders in morality, you sure are violent. The religious extremest are among some of the most violent people ever conceived.

Without religion, you'd still have good people doing good things, and you'd still have bad people doing bad things. However to make good people do bad things requires religion. In case you haven't figured it out yet, I am atheist.

This also means that if the person indeed is a teen, and a Christian, he should realize that everything in this game is no real, and it should not sway his beliefs.

Now please take into account the fact that it's a game in a real universe, a universe which the game makers have crafted to be enjoyed, not worshiped.

What are you trying to accomplish with this? Right now you're coming off as a closed community, that despises and condemes everything other than it's own. I have Christian friends, and they're good people, and good friends. I cannot believe and a person that smart (meaning my friend) is a part of a religion that has this close-minded people. You are giving a bad name to Christians in my eyes.

You can pick various "races" for your character, including several demonic looking characters called "elves". With their pointed ears and eerie non-human appearances, it allows children to pretend they are a demon themselves.

I nor do any other True Christians™, use 'religion as a means of control'. I follow the KJV Bible and obey secular law. I follow them both to the letter with no deviation. If deviation were allowed, the Bible and secular law would state something like "Follow this rule, if you want", which would make the rule or law ridiculous. If the speed limit is 65, it means you cannot exceed 65. It does not mean the speed limit is 65 unless there are no cops around, then you can go as fast as you want. Society has rules intended to keep man from acting like animals.

Then explain why J.K. Rowling wrote a series of manuals with the sole purpose of turning children away from Jesus and toward witchcraft.

There soul purpose was to provide entertainment and to use her skills with writing to generate income to live of off. You people don't have any amagination at all I have played games that if you think Harry Potter is bad would probably make you puke I do not worship the devil simply because a book had magic in it nor any game. A game does not influence people to the degree you think they do after playing games such as Grand Theft Auto did I go out and shoot people? No thats wrong and any person who thinks otherwise clearly has brain damage and is likely to do such activities in the first place. Also the bible says that all we have to do to go to heaven is to believe that Jesus died for our sins so if you do believe that things like this do not matter because works do not effect your forgiveness by god. So suck it up buttercup, cause we've all sinned and we're all guna some time in the future so might as well take your chances and play a FICTION (not real) game (not real) with spells (that are not real) and that no one in their right mind would try to copy anyways.

There is even a mod that let you have sex, this game is a great tutorial to go to HELL!!

I found out that one of my sons played it, I make him burn the game, I'm not even letting this happen again. I would still be punishing him if he wasn't dead.

My sister has spent many hours playing this game.

As of yet, it has not affected her behavior.

She has also played various Bethesda Softworks games such as, Brink, The Elder Scrolls III, Fallout New Vegas. Which Fallout New Vegas has gambling, Prostitution, Drug Use, Alcohol use and Such things called "Mods" That modify your game some of which is a mod that makes your role player FULLY NUDE!!.

There is a Character in this game that is A Homosexual and Will follow you around while you have mis-adventures in the "Mojave Wasteland".

She recently acquired a homosexual friend and EVERYONE is okay with it.
This "Game" Is a Disgrace of the American Race.

She is an atheist. She told me the last time I saw her.

What should I do?

How can I convince her that this is the wrong way to go?

lol well I guess I'm going straight to hell, with all the fun games I've been playing lately!

Like Devil May Cry: about a half demon man who goes around killing other demons with his "evil powers" hows father basically kicked the Devils butt.

And Jak and Dexter: two best friends (one turned into a rat thing) going around killing these called Metal Heads that eat Dark Eco and kill people. (Eco is the worlds power source, there is Green, Red, Blue, Light, and Dark Eco)

Oh and Sly Cooper: about a raccoon that goes around stealing stuff from bad people. And his story about how he avenges his family by killing the monster that killed his father and stolen there family book that holds the key to being a Master Thief.

And these are only a few. Hell here I come!

Friend, there are so many things wrong with your post. Allow me to help you educate you.

Mock God, no. Mock haters, yes. You claim you don't hate anyone, God does. What a pile. Let me ask you this, two people, one is a Christian who prays every day of his life but is weak and gives in to temptation, drink & drugs. But after each sin they go to their church and they repent. The other person is agnostic, like me. They believe there is a higher being but they are not convinced about the teachings of any major religion. They spend their entire life being good, helping people, being kind, loving and protecting their family. So by your way of thinking, are you telling me that God will take the first man into Heaven with open arms and the second man, who has never done anything wrong other than not praying will spent the remainder of eternity burning in the fires of hell? What do you think?

You completely misunderstand Christianity. First off, if one is a True Christian(tm), we do not sin. The idea of going to church and repenting (confessing to a priest) is a Catholic notion and therefore unChristian. True Christians(tm) are sinless, please read 1 John 3:6-9 and 1 John 5:18. So a "Christian" who repeatedly sins like in your description will go to Hell because they weren't a Christian to begin with.

Second, just because you do good works, if you don't accept Jesus Christ as your savior, you will go to Hell. End of story. The Bible is very clear on this. Read John 3:15-16 and Galatians 2:16.

How do you know that god hates them? It may say so in the King James Bible but you forget that the bible was written my man.

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, not simply man-written ideas.

2nd Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

I was texting my cousin in Germany the other day, I speak German, and I missed the umlaut (the two dots above a vowel) over a letter "o" in one word and it totally changed the entire meaning of the sentence I was writing to her.

Yes, human translations and such are fallible and can change. But the Bible is immune from such errors.

Personally I believe that God intended for there to be gay people. I'm not gay myself but I have no problem with gay people. Why? Because the population of this world is increasing way too fast. I deal with young people from bad backgrounds in my job. You know how many underage pregnancies I have had to deal with? Gay couples cannot have children. I think God is trying to slow down the ridiculous population explosion before there is not enough room, food or water for everyone.

It took 123 years for the population to go from 1 to 2 billion, between 1804 and 1927. It took only 12 years to go from 5 to 6 billion people, between 1987 and 1999.

With growth rates like that I say let the gays flourish. Besides, in a town with mostly gay guys, I'm a lot more likely to meet the woman I will one day marry since there is a lot less competition.

Whether or not God intended gay people is debatable, I admit. After all, Isaiah 45:7 tells us: "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.". And gays are certainly evil, so maybe God did create them.

But you make it sound like populating the Earth is inherently wrong, which it is not, because God tells us we should do so.
