Re: Minecraft: Makes children sex slaves and destroys our economy!
Thank you all for your opinions in the matter, and they all may or may not be saying truthful or false information. First off, I am a Christian myself, and I go to a small baptist church in the little farming town that I live in. I believe that Christ is my savior, and I believe that I have been forgiven for my sins and someday I will get to meet him in the kingdom that he has prepared for me and every single believer in this world. Now, lets get back on topic here.
Minecraft is an open world sandbox game, it basically lets everyone use their imagination and create things that spark up in their mind. Saying that is a sin, would be invalid. It's almost like saying that the creation of every single thing in this world is a sin upon the creator. Now, knowing that he does not sin, that is a false statement.
Now then, saying that playing Minecraft is an unforgivable sin, would also be a false statement. Maybe it is a sin, but then again, what was your imagination like when you were a kid, outside, playing in the dirt? This can actually be a more controlled environment to express your creativity, and a child should have parent supervision while on the computer until the age of 18 anyways. There is also something called 'singleplayer' that allows you to play the game without the disturbance or interaction of any other player.
Now, about the griefing statement. It is about breaking blocks and ruining players creations. That is pretty much getting them ready for the real world; as things like this happen in a normal, everyday environment. For example, have you ever made a snowman or something else, and then someone comes up and destroys it? It pretty much works the same way.
I hope you guys can understand all of this that is said. Also, all that I've seen in this post is people discriminating other people, which is wrong. Yes, maybe being married to the same gender is wrong as stated in the bible, but being mean about it just makes them kill themselves.
I love constructive criticism and will love to hear back from every single person who agrees or disagrees with what I just said. May god be with you all, believer or not, and may he protect you and save you, no matter the sins you have committed.
Also, remember this; no single being is perfect, other than god himself.
