When did I mention gay sex... Is fun a sin? Is enjoying a meal with family a sin? Is playing a board game with your friends a sin? Why is only a video game sinful. Certainly it comes down to the content within the game, of which the regulars of this forum are completely ignorant.

As an aside, calling the unsaved as "trash" is not for you to decide. Your priorities should be in saving the unsaved, God does not consider the unsaved to be trash as judgement is still an event of the future, and it is certainly not the place of the forum moderators to determine who is trash and who is not. Todays unsaved are tomorrows saved, so you should always seek to present yourself to others in a loving way, saved or unsaved. God tells us to love our enemies, but the only thing I've seen in this forum is misplaced hate.

Ok, as a PC gamer I'm here to show you guys what's up. First, none of the images posted on the first page describe Diablo III because one is from a game called Torchlight and the other is a fake cover made by someone before 2007 when Diablo III project was not announced.

Diablo III was not released yet so talking about it would be a little early so let's talk about Diablo II instead. The first thing I saw when I played Diablo II was this character screen asking me to choose a character:



Notice how the carracter is described as a ''holy man'' and ''blessed worrior''. In the game, it is a servant of God trying to restore order in a world ravaged by evil. I fail to see how that promotes satanism, the game delivers the exact opposite message.

Let's look closely to in game screen-shots:





The paladin carries a special shield with the cross symbol, to protect him from evil. Also, one of the most basic spells is called Prayer:



Other skills include Conversion, Holy shield, Holy Bolt, Redemption etc.

The player is on God's side, fighting Satan or Diablo how they call it. I have played this game for years and found no proof that it may encourage satanism in no way. Satanism is present in the game in many forms but the player is encouraged to fight it.

In Diablo 3, the best carracter is called the monk, and, same as the paladin from D2, he's a holy man fighting evil. This is Blizzard's description of the Monk in Diablo III:

''Monks are sacred warriors who channel divine power through sheer force of will. Healing waves, mantras of protection and attacks empowered with holy might are all within their purview.''

It is highly unlikely that someone with faith in God won't be able to play this game because the game offers endless possibilities to do so while staying on God's side the entire time.

Apparently Blizzard, makers of such filthy games like World of Warcraft, Starcraft II and Oblivion, have a horrible series of games glorifying Satan called "Diablo". Apparently there are two sequels, or "clones" as gamers call them, of this game, the most recent having been released in 2009. How this horrifying game managed to get released without widespread calls for it's banning is beyond me!

Here is just a short list of the horrible things this game includes...

• Upon starting the game up, the player is asked to "role-play" as one of three characters: the Destroyer, a tatooed meathead obviously inspired by a member of the BDSM-sodomite community known as a "power top bear"; the Vanquisher, a scantily-clad harlot who gains "levels" by soliciting people for s*x and fornicating with them; and, worst of all, the Scientist, a demon-summoning wizard who builds sex-robots and espouses Darwinian propaganda!

• Finally, the game encourages repetitive mouse-clicking and movement, which can lead young women into a repetitive stimulation of her lady-bits. Blizzards Entertainment wants to train young ladies to m*sturbate!

As Christians, we know that whatever a person does, it should be done for the glory of God.

Alrighty, where to start? Well, for one, Blizzard didn't make Oblivion. A company named Bethesda did.

Next, the sequels to Diablo are not referred to as "Diablo-clones", as they are part of the Diablo series. This Link will help explain what a "Diablo-clone" is.

The first bullet-point to the second-last are not for the correct game, and the same goes for the picture. All these points are being made about the Torchlight game series, which is itself a "Diablo-clone". I can see how this can be mistaken, but poor research is no excuse.

As for the statement about repetitive mouse-clicking and female self-satisfaction: this is a mystery to me. You are female, Lycia, and obviously have a computer. When you are using your computer, do you feel that repetetive mouse-clicking stimulates you sexually? I see this is a little presumptuous of me. You have been saved, after all, and can control those urges. Before you were saved, then, did you find mouse-clicking arousing? Maybe the clicking REMINDS you of your heathen ways, making the urges harder to bear. Well, the clear answer is to just cut off your fingers, and the fingers of all females that plan on using a mouse. Or they could just by an iPad so they don't have to worry about all that clicking nonsense and still keep their fingers.

I will not fight you on the bible quote. If you say it's in there, I will trust that you have translated it from it's original text properly. Although, if you can make the obvious blunder of confusing two different games because researching evil is too tedious, then I'm not sure if I can take your bible quotes at face value. It's ok, I don't plan on reading the bible. No need to tell me to learn an ancient language I won't be using.

And to save the females from clicking their mouses so they will not be tempted to satisfy themselves and also to save some time for the men-folk, I will now post your opinions so you don't have to waste your time responding to my blasphemous comment.

What?? That's like saying they had a pedophile class, but the character doesn't actually rape little kids. It's still glorifying pedophilia.

It is a damned priest in any case, and not Baptist. The game should not be encouraging them to be Sumerian priests, Pythias, whiskeypalians, Qadishtus, Ishtaritus, or any other kind of damned priest.

In most other games they ban religion all together! Look at the pictures that I posted. Diablo is the rare games where not only religion is the key element of the game, but also, the true baptist faith is promoted.

Hey guys, everyone should calm down. I've got this covered.

As a true-christian I feel obligated to play this game, NOT because any of the reasons you are all talking about but for one sole reason, to prove myself to god.

When I started up the game diablo 2, I got prompted to choose my role and obviously I took the role of a paladin. A battle-ready warrior for whom faith is a shield, the Paladin fights for what he believes to be right. His steadfastness gives him powers to bestow blessings to his friends and wreak cruel justice on foes. There are those who call the Paladin an overwrought zealot, but others recognize in him the strength and goodness of the Light, A defender of light if you will. and With my trusty Prayer abilities I smite the evil minions back to the gates of hell!

Paladins use holy magic as gifted by the High Heavens. They must maintain strictly ordered lives, constantly upholding the cause of Virtue and Light. They must never succumb to worldly temptations lest they risk being deceived into following false lights - demons masquerading as heavenly beings.

Paladins may use their skills to increase their prowess with sword and shield, as well as lend blessings to themselves and to any who join them. They are particularly effective against the Undead, as they know many holy incantations effective against these creatures.

I also included a few pictures of my paladin, does he not look like divine?
To me, it looks like god split the sky to bathe my paladin in glorious sunlight, encouraging me to push forward.
