I find it harder to believe that an "almighty being" magically created the earth and the universe than Darwins theory. Any ways, wouldn't one consider magically creating the earth witchcraft? Is god a witch then?

I have been a user of Garry's Mod for years (though no longer, it must be said. Once I was blind, now I see) and I am honestly shocked at the narrow minded and argumentative nature of my fellow users.

Did you know that there are user-submitted modifications featuring extra-terrestrial life forms? No doubt to further the atheist agenda of Garry Newman.

The more I look into the life of Garry Newman the more I am convinced he practises dark rites and eats babies.

- Wars - do you think wars are good? Let's try, send your parents, brothers, your husband/fiancée/boyfriend (if you have any), your children to die for something you think is right. And you say it isn't bad...
I would rather live happily with my family and friends, letting other people with different religion co-exist with me than to send my loved ones into a war to destroy those people.
- Loss of knowledge - if it was upon you, not that we could not talk right now, but you couldn't watch your favourite series on TV, wouldn't have a modern house to live, wouldn't have a car, trains, electricity, or anything like that. And you say it isn't bad...
- Starvation - would you like to see your children die because they couldn't eat for the second week right now? I guess, no. But yes, starvation till death is not bad, you say...
- Keeping up feudalism - for what? You couldn't have your own opinion, your own home, you would live with three or more families together in a small house (if you can call those buildings house), and would have to work out your soul to get some food. And you say it's not bad...
- A church what takes your money to keep up it's shiny glory with gold, etc - the title speaks for itself

But if you want that, as I said, take your stuff, make your own country, and live by those rules. But do not expect anyone to help you out!

People who live their lives for God and believe in His Word down into the deepest regions of their hearts don't expect anyone else to help them out. They believe God will care for them in all things.

People who help each other out in ways that are not specifically directed in the Bible may as well be socialists.

Real Bible believin' American Christians know that their God doesn't like socialism.

What makes the Bible true is that it was written by God. He said so Himself, in the Bible. And God cannot lie, being sinless and perfect, as we know from reading the Bible.

And in a way, we are stuck in an infinite loop. We exist in what we perceive to be a temporal space between eternity as it exists eternally when God was by Himself, and eternity as we will know it after we experience temporal death as mortal beings which God created and live on as immortal souls forever and ever in either Heaven or Hell, depending on whether you get right with God by believing the Bible.

Why do you insist that we find proof of God outside of the Bible when God Himself wrote the Bible so that we can know that He exists.

Our existance here in this forum is to encourage others to read the Bible for themselves and know the truth of God's existance for themselves.

(And people insist that we aren't nice. We are just encouraging people to find out something wonderful for themselves. How can that be anything other than nice?)

*Sigh* You've completely missed my point of what you bolded. So you're telling me, God exists because the bible says so and the bible is true, and the bible is true because god wrote it?
And how do we know god wrote it and he exists? because the bible says so, which is only valid because it is written by god.

It's a simple development of a theory, but you're missing an external component. The Bible proves god, and God proves the bible. How do you know they both aren't lying? (And please, just please, don't say because god or the bible says so)

It is a map based off of a game called counter strike source, where you do kill terrorist groups, so yes, it is in a "foul" muslim village. However, how is futuristic technology witchcraft? As you can see Hover Balls were used to make an item float. Are helicopter witchcraft because they were mere cars until we put spinning blades on them to make them levitate? Where cars witchcraft because we made advances in technology? This is all the game is showcasing, the fact that you can use futuristic technology to solve problems. Also, whilst we are on the topic of things god does not like. Is sodomy not a sin? Yes? Isn't one of your STRONGEST arguements against Garrys Mod? Sodomy? Then what is this I see?

He didn't try too, because he realises that the word of a supposed superior being which may or may not even exist is not all that matters. What scarecrow is trying to say is (as you can see from the rest of the post), just because it's written in a book, does not necessarily pass it off as fact, which is what you people are saying. You say that it must be true, because it's written in the bible. Although i just had a thought, what makes the bible true? (And i'd appreciate it if you didnt say because it is the word of god, because then you're just stuck in an infinite loop trying to prove eithers existance by the other)

All He ever did was give you life and the chance at eternal bliss in exchange for a little acknowledgment. Clean up your room, eat your vegetables, pray to no Gods but Him, follow a few simple rules in His book.
No where does it say to follow the teachings of 'Garrysmod'. Truth be told, it sounds like some Homer pickup mechanism.

i dont want to question anyones religious values nor do i want mine questioned.i just want to deliver my message as a faithfull christian and a player of this game that i bought to see the validity of its sins. this game has nothing in it telling you to do good or evil just tools to create. all those things imaged are creations of people of sick and twisted mind and the furry characters arent even part of it and have to be sought out and gotten on someones own free will. as someone who has honestly put this to the test i can say nothing about this game would cause god to hate it and its only as sinful as the person playing it if they choose to use it for evil. christ as a carpenter made things out of wood and nothing bad came of it but some people can come along and make horrid things in wooden sculptures. botom line is its not the game making these things its people who have grown up with poor guidance using the game for foul use. i can 100% say any properly raised child can play this game and get nothing but wholesome enjoyment. i hear schools are using this as geometry teaching aids so its not all fun and games. its being put to a good cause in ways

But we here at Landover Baptist exist to question everone's religious values to see how they stack up against the Bible. In fact, our purpose in being here is a lot more single-minded than is the purpose of the game being discussed.

Indeed, our purpose in being here has nothing really to do with that game.
People getting all riled up to defend the game are really mssing the point.

As someone who claims to be a "faithful Christan" why aren't you more focused on the people challenging the unassailable, eternal truth of the Bible? Shouldn't that be your message?

Woah woah woah woah. Wait a minute. A book tells you he exists, so it is automatically fact? Well Darwin's theory of evolution tells us it is what happened. So what more could anyone need? Mein Kampf tells us that the Jews and all non-believers of the national socialist movement should perish, so what more does anyone need to believe it? Twilight also tells girls that vampires are real. It tells them they exist. What more does anyone need?

Silly person. The Bible isn't just a book. It is God's Holy Word. He tells us that in the Bible.

He also tell us that if we don't believe in Him, He will send us to Hell. None of those other books that you mention state within their very own text that they are written by God. And they don't state specific penalties for not believing in what they say. Darwin and Hilter don't ever threaten to send people to Hell, or provide an easy to understand way of avoiding it.

Only God tells us in His Own Book about Himself, and His Perfection and our sinfullness and how we can believe in Him and please Him or not believe in Him and get sent to Hell.

Isn't God wonderful? He says so Himself, so you know that you can believe Him!
