I don't think that God hates Garry Newman. I don't think God hates people for playing Garry's Mod. I guess he would be a bit disappointed with the people who make things like in the original post, quite understandable. From what I gather, though, apparently if I play Garry's Mod and do something like build a house I'm condemned to an eternity in hell..? I really don't think God would do such a thing (It isn't hurting anyone).

A lot of people must think "Boy, I don't want to be a Christian because by their standards I'm going straight to hell unless I don't make drastic changes fast!" because of stuff like this. I have 1173 hours logged in Garry's Mod so far. I don't worship Garry. I don't pretend I'm god. I play on Role Play servers and on my listen server with my friends.

I am a high achieving high school student who almost never does the wrong thing. I am a kind and sensitive person, who happens to be a gamer. If this means I'm going to hell, so be it. I trust God and his decision on where I will spend an eternity. Hey, he could be looking down thinking "No! You've got it all wrong!" when you say people go to hell for playing a video game. You never know.

P.S. the amount of racist smileys available is disturbing for such a place

It's blasphemy! Why not just admit you're a God-hating atheist and quit worrying what Christians think? You've already committed to going to Hell. Might as well enjoy the ride, right?

I like to be informed on more then just my own point of view and have also enjoyed your's. You should really put your-self in other people's point of view to sound less like an ignorant ass with only one view. Be more open minded, it's how our wonderful civilization has advanced thus far. BTW, in reply to the pms you sent me. I am not really a whore just because I am not Christian does not mean I don't have a moral compass, I also do not worship Satan simply because it is very hard for me to worship something I do not believe in. Clearly you are very set in your ways and have a very strong faith which is fantastic and I hope that you have a wonderful road ahead of you full of many adventurous twist and turns. also hope that you have not become so perverted with your interpretation of the bible that you have not forgot to love your fellow human. You should show more compassion and love in your out reach program, maybe then there would be less sin and more love.

ps. I am an out and proud homosexual with a man that I am completely in love with and have the full intention on starting a loving family.

It is not creating a universe.... It is simply a mod created from valve games to be fun, entertaining, and even educational.

It's creating an imitation universe. That's the entire point of a "sandbox".

Ok, I would like to try another metaphor. If you build a boat and sell that boat to lets say Tim and Tim decides to be reckless with the boat and hurt himself purely out of his own stupidity. Should Tim blame you?

Why, because you didn't like the answer you got with your first attempt?

Obviously, it was God's Will that Tim get hurt, or He would have prevented it.

However, we're not talking about creating a boat. We're talking about creating a universe, which in itself is a mockery of God's Creation, and then encouraging others to play in this mockery of the Lord and pretend to be like God. It is exalting oneself above God; it is blasphemy.

God permits everything that happens on Earth. If you wish to "blame" Him, then you may do so; I prefer to praise Him.

Just because I do not understand His Plan does not mean there is not a reason He allowed Jeffrey Dahmer to torture, rape, kill, and eat young homosexuals.

God is all-powerful and all-knowing. Therefore, He knew before He created water that people would drown in it. He also knows, at this very instant, that this hypothetical man of yours will drown in that water tomorrow at 3 pm.

Being all-powerful, He could make water that would not cause people to drown. He could also prevent the drowning of Hypothetical Man through any number of minor interventions.

Garry's Mod is an open sand box created by an extremely intelligent man so gamers may do as they please, such as create fun and trivial game modes, play with physics with out actually doing harm to one's self, make machinimas, create situations with familiar characters from games that have also entertained and challenges gamers, and even learn more about different coding. It is simply a medium. So why, is the entire Game mod, generation that plays the game mod, and the creator of the game mod even being brought to question for something that a couple of fools created out of ignorance and stupidity? I use Garry's Mod and host several servers where players go to have fun that is in no way perverted unless a troll who himself is pretty perverted joins and in that case he feels the full power of the ban hammer.

I ask this, if am man drowns in water and dies, would you blame the water?

Please answer the question with out deviating from the subject with an answer that is not filled with ignorance based of the lack of knowledge you have of the game mode it's self.

I would also like to say I am not arguing any point and am not making stand, just seeking information.
