The Bible clearly says that the Bible is the Word of God. Can you show me anywhere in the Bible where it says that the Harry Potter books are the Word of God?

So if I write a book about my own religion, and say it's my word, so believe it, I am your god, will you believe it?

This is the worst support you could've thought up. The Bible of course will say it's the word of god! But what if the Harry Potter books wrote that it's the word of god, it's real? What if I base a religion off of Lord of The Rings? Or Star Wars? Or Star Trek? Or any fantasy/sci-fi book series? Then what? It's the same with your Bible. A collection of stories turn into a book what tells you what you can do with your life. But you know what? Collect your fellow True Christians, make your own country, and live there peacefully. No one will go there to mash something under your nose, but as this whole forum shows, you can't simply sit on your ass without having the urge to "help" other people's life. You simply can't resist to curse everyone who does not share your belief. All of you are worse than those ezoterists in the TV.

If the Harry Potter books would say that they are "the word of Harry Potter" they would be completely valid to start a religion based on Harry Potter worshipping him as the sole god.

He hates pencils when they are being used to draw or write blasphemous things. And when one pencil is using its point to penetrate another pencil's eraser. Then, He's really mad. Other than that, He's fine with them.

Lego is against God's plan because any one piece can be connected to any other piece. Each piece is male and female in itself. A piece can be stuck into one piece and have another piece stuck into its other side at the very same time!

How else do you propose a childs building toy be made? because i can't think of any other way really. But in all seriousness, by the garrys mod and lego example, everything should be a sin now. Some people make some perverted stuff on any thing that allows creativity. There plenty of pornography on the internet, does that make using the internet a sin, and that god hates the internet? Unless you fall into those temptations, No, it isn't. And redeemed, who are you too say what video games god hates? Yes, it, [the Bible] is great in a given way (an almighty God watching over you, helping in need, but requiring your love and faith does help keeping together communities), but when the thing comes to be taken too seriously, . . .

Christianity also set back sciences with approx 2000 years. Your God restricted the usage of every knowledge gathered by the Greeks, Roman, Egyptian, and so on. We lost unknown (but high) amount of very valuable books, not just about science, but dramas, greek stories and mythologies, Egyptian relics, and such. . .

Now let's see what Christianity gave the world:
- A church what tried to control every nation in Europe from 400 AD to 1900 AD, and collected huge values
- Long wars between people who before never thought about fighting for the other
- Starvation due to the tithe
- It helped keeping up feudalism

You say all those things as if they were actually bad.

So by that logic, God doesn't necessarily hate garrys mod, he only hates it when someone is using it too pose ragdolls in sinful positions? And wait, why does god hate garrys mod itself? Shouldn't god really hate the people that are making the images and poses?

He didn't try too, because he realises that the word of a supposed superior being which may or may not even exist is not all that matters. What scarecrow is trying to say is (as you can see from the rest of the post), just because it's written in a book, does not necessarily pass it off as fact, which is what you people are saying. You say that it must be true, because it's written in the bible. Although i just had a thought, what makes the bible true? (And i'd appreciate it if you didnt say because it is the word of god, because then you're just stuck in an infinite loop trying to prove eithers existance by the other)

If the Word of God drives you away, then that is just a clear indication that you have been preordained to spend eternity in hell. We can only lead a horse to water; we can't make you drink.

Well, if god doesn't want us too sin, then why give us free will in the first place? I assume that if he does love us, he would not want us to endure eternal suffering in hell, so again, why give us free will and have no direct control over us if the entire world population are going to sin and supposedly be sent to hell?

If you actually read the Bible, you would know that, according to it, it is not the entire world population that is being sent to Hell.

People who read the Bible and believe it to be God's revealed truth and thus follow its every word will be spared Hell.

So, you see that the Bible is a wonderous book that sets out all of God's Plan by presenting the problems of mankind and providing a solution to all those problems.

It is the most self-contained "how to" manual ever written! And it was written by God Himself! What more could anyone want?

please dont blatantly twist my words. this isnt a game it is a tool for creating. saying this tool is a sin because some people can not see god in it is almost calling jesus himself as bad as the worst of mankind because their were carpinters who create unholly things. its not the program thats the problem its the users. youve obviously had trouble with users on this site lately. does that make this whole site corrupt? i was simply trying to state something that made both parties happy while refraining from anyone needing to sin
